I pause the video frequently because I am a slow reader. The result is that I am slowly learning not only the grammar but also the grammatical vocabulary.😅

I loved your videos of plural of nouns in nominative because it had many examples of the article together with nouns in plural. It would the been lovely to have a similar approach here with a little list of words with the article in accusative and the words in accusative. I can see how the video would get longer by that though so I understand your approach here. However could you maybe make another one with more examples of masculine, femenine and neuter nouns in accusative and their plural such as your approach with the nominative? Kind regards!

Hi! Thanks for the comment and the suggestions! I will consider them! For the moment you can watch my short animated movies for beginners, you will find plenty of nouns used in accusative there!! Short films in modern greek!: kzbin.info/aero/PLQTuehBjH4AlHVmayeyoBOj2pt3Y9-VUV

Hello! Is there some way to get sentences or worksheets to help practice this?

Γεια σου! I don't have some available at the moment but I am working on these. Meanwhile you can watch the short films and the vocabulary videos already published. The accusative case is widely used in those videos so you will find plenty of examples.

Hi , I’m confused! Why is ο σκύλος masculine in the singular form but neuter (τα σκυλιά) in the plural? Thanks
@crazyforgreek
@crazyforgreek Жыл бұрын
Γεια σου Jeff! I understand why you are confused. There are actually there words that mean dog. ο σκύλος = male dog -> οι σκύλοι η σκύλα = female dog -> οι σκύλες το σκυλί = dog in general -> τα σκυλιά I hope that clarifies it!

Γεια σας! Μ΄αρέσει πως μιλάτε στα Ελληνικά,και έχει υπότιτλους στο βίντεο σου. Έτσι είναι πολύ εύκολο τρόπο να σας καταλαβαίνω τι λέτε. Είναι ο σκύλος μου, είναι η γυναίκα του,είναι ο τετράδιο τους. Έτσι δεν είναι! Γειά χαρά,καλό καλοκαίρι.

I cant understand why "I am a architekt" does not seam to get accusative form. Is the verb "be" different? It ("to be") is somewhat special in both English and Swedish (my first language) but we dont have much of cases (about the same as English...) so I am having a hard time to understand why it is "Η γυναίκα είναι αρχιτέκτονας" and "Η γυναίκα έχει αρχιτέκτονα" I tried this with "be" in many ways on google translate, and never does the greek show accusative. If changed to "have" it gets accusative.

Exactly! With the verb "είμαι" we use nominative! This is because when someone "is" something, that something is not actually the object of the phrase. Noone acts on someone or something else. So there is no need to use accusative. That something is just a property of the subject.

You speak in Greek, how can a non- Greek l understand and learn??
@crazyforgreek
@crazyforgreek 6 ай бұрын
Hi! There are always subtitles in both languages. The reason that I speak in greek is because in my experience immersion in the target language is a key for long term results. So I want to create that environment from those who want to learn that way. That's just my aproach. No hard feelings if you don't like it. Good luck in your study!
