I used to live on the tiniest studio in the wealthiest neighborhood of a city. I never saw G Wagons, Lambos, etc. Always a bunch of pretty basic, often older Volvo’s, Audi, Lexus. The house has no proper interior design, no art, no proper landscaping, and for the price looks very much like bare bones and cheaply done. The color palette on the exterior is Two major colors and the inside is three and it’s horrible. The inside has so much white walls and no art, no real sculptures, it’s just run of the mill restoration hardware modern oversized sofas and they don’t use one major side of the house. Proof that money doesn’t buy taste and that if you are going to buy a large home you really should get some help with art and interior design.

I dont think you any of you understand how things work. Do you not realize how expensive it is to live in LA? In a city like LA that is extremely overpopulated, all properties are going to be extremely expensive. To just rent a jail sell one room apartment thats like 10 feet by 10 feet would be like $3000 a month. Depending on location etc. $7 Million for that house in that area actually looks pretty inexpensive. Have you seen apartments in New York? Just an apartment that’s 1/3 of the size of that house would be like $10 million. Theres 100 factors in what makes up a price of a house and I’m sure pretty much everyone in here has little to no idea what a house should cost by looking a 5 min video or even someone giving a tour of it unless they’re explaining the 100 factors that go into during the video...

My husband’s cousin and her husband have over $100k in student debt because of many poor financial decisions, but they’re living it up and paying the bare minimum even though they could refinance and pay it off faster. My husband and I make more money than them, but we’ve been budgeting tightly to get his loans paid off-just one more year left. They’ll probably be paying until they retire at this rate. It’s not always the most fun, but living realistically will keep you free from unnecessary financial stress!
