I Want To Die yeah it did. It sucks. It was sudden. I woke up and my right ear hurt like hell. And after we went to the doctor, thats where we found out its a pimple. He removed it and gave my mom the prescription. She had to dropped a liquid in my ear (i don’t remember the name). Plus I could not hear properly from that ear for a few days. So i really had to focus on class using my other ear. Hahaha my classmate would not believe I missed class for a few days because of a pimple.

I had a problem with pimples in my ear back in Jr High. I guess it was just teen acne but in my 8th grade year i had one so big just inside my left ear it started itching and had part of my earlobe swollen. I'll never forget, while i was in class, it was starting to hurt and i stuck my finger in and POP! It sounded like a mini explosion. I didnt touch it until 3hrs later when i made it home then i cleaned out the dry pus and finish busting it, YUCK. That pus spread into my earlobe and that was painful squeezing it out of there. But it healed and i never had problems with ear pimples(or blackheads) again.

Sorry but you left a huge infected pimple on there. Use a disposable ear curette! A doctor at my nursing home uses them sometimes and I heard one of the patient say oh my God I can hear them popping in my ears and now my ears aren't itchy anymore and I was in shock about how much stuff that come out of the patient ears and it was not ear wax it was blackheads and pimples!

@@0Mayweed0 the funny thing is is we all use Q-tips to clean out our ears but it is definitely against medical advice. my ears have been rate for a long time but I used to scuba dive a lot and I went to the drugstore and bought the plastic curettes also an extractor works wonderfully to because it goes over the pimple and forces that stuff out of it I agree that they definitely are doing the right thing by applying iodine to the infected area.

According to most doctors, deep infected pimples like this in the ear canal should always be treated with antibiotics to prevent the infection from spreading to the the ear drum or causing further damage to the ear canal. Due to the way it disfigures the canal, it can lead to hearing issues and balance issues. Especially if it's recurrent and leaves scar tissue. Poking at it like this can spread the infection, or, if the person poking isn't careful, they could poke the eardrum (which is extremely painful).

@@pierre-carllabrecque328 oh I know that, I recognize the Iodine, but doctor's still typically recommend using antibiotics for the purpose of avoiding poking the eardrum by accident. Even most ear specialists in the UK and America would send their patient to their genetal physician for treatment to avoid risking the integrity of the eardrum. But I am glad to see they are using iodine.

Perhaps we use too much antibiotics these days. I'm definitely not an expert and ears do seem like something you have to be careful with but if something can be cured/dealt with without antibiotics (and it doesn't involve a high risk) then I think you should go for it.

I once had one just barely inside my ear, just enough to where I couldn't get the leverage to pop it. It bothered me for weeks until one day I got so fed up I scratched it until I literally tore it open. Not the cleanest or least bloody way by any means, but a few Q-tips later and it was all cleaned out. Applied some biotics and such, all good. Never got infected, and I repeated the process when I got another one months later. Assumed I didn't quite get rid of everything from the first one, so it eventually built back up. Haven't got one since.

I just had one this past week. I popped it with a needle (sterilized by alcohol first) then kept pouring small amounts of alcohol in the ear during the day. I did not use a qtip in the ear. I could feel the bump, but not see it. I also poured small amounts of peroxide in it. in 2 days, the bump was gone. the wax and stuff in the bump (not sure if blood or pus) drained out during my sleep. Just keep using small amounts of peroxide to keep it from getting infected, and use the alcohol to dry up anything that may be oozing before going to bed.

Exactly I have over 20 years experience as a licensed practical nurse in geriatrics I was told never to put anything larger than your elbow in your ear and when a patient I noticed is having a hard time hearing or visible ear wax my boss would put a special type of ear drops in and then irrigate out the wax

They also sell plastic and metal curettes that are made to get the pimple in the sack out without going in with a Q-tip on the box of Q-tips it says do not use these in your ears.

This was obviously a taped scope procedure. This would have been performed either in the office or operating room. If the reason was to just pop this pimple, it was probably in the office. Maybe the doctor thought the q-tip would be better tolerated by the patient over a metal instrument.

It would definitely be better if they used in extractor they also sell classic curettes that you can use to clean out ear wax and it's perfect for cleaning out pimples in the ear too and they're actually manufactured for your ears. They're obviously meant for one time use and you throw them away

I had one of these once, the doctor removed mine by using this instrument that was basically just the curve of a bobby pin on the end of a long stick, he actually had to slightly bend the end of it to make it pop properly

Never had one, but I've had ear infection before, about 10 years ago, I was about 10-11 years old. I used a screwdriver to clean my ears, I felt some tingling in there when I stopped, probably left a cut. 2 weeks later, the infection got out of hand. The pain is so unbearable, i literally scaled it 11/10 on pain level, I had to skip school for a month. I didn't notice it at first, but the more it's irritated (air blowing inside ear or by poking), the more it will hurt. I got into a moment where I had to get to the clinic to get my ears checked up, I was unable to walk normally and I can only look down because if I look at any other direction, it will start hurting again for 5 or more minutes, even walking or even transportation hurts a lot, any motion hurts. At the clinic, they saw a massive pimple-like bulge with a blocked opening (must be the hole where bacteria entered in the first place). They only provided me painkillers and antibiotics since the infection is about to pop, and when it pops out, the pain will be gone. The painkillers work, it's my only go to when it's unbearably painful when doing anything. I had to wait like a few days for it to pop, and when it did, it was a very relieving moment of my life. I felt like I escaped from hell, thinking it would come back again, and it did 1 week later, not that painful this time and I can wait a few more days for it to pop again without painkillers. When it popped, yellow fluid and blood oozed out of my ear, I had to use coated Qtips to clean it out immediately, or else it will dry up. The pain was unbearable that I couldn't sleep at night, it's like a bunch of ants were biting the insides of my ear. Any motion of your head will hurt, unless you move slowly.

Once I had a zit in my ear at work, I didn't know it was a zit though. I felt a bump with my finger and though that it was the ridge of cartilage I guess. But dug at it a bit anyway. The POW! deafened me for a bit. It was so loud since it was so close to my eardrum I guess.

I’ve never had one that deep, but I’ve had plenty of them in my ears over the years. I have super oily skin though and my ears produce a lot of wax. These hurt like hell! FYI I found that when I’m showering, if I just run my wet finger on the inside of my ear it keeps it at bay.
