It would also have Mae believing that the Jedi murdered unarmed people even if she acknowledges the initial fire was set by her. I wonder if the mysterious Sith master is Palpatine's master (since, timeline-wise, it's a stretch that it's Palps and, personally, would rather avoid Palps being the mysterious big bad, again) and discovers that Aniseya manipulated the Force to create a child (twins in this case) that the mysterious Sith master then teaches to Palps... who then creates Anakin inside of Shmi Skywalker. It's pretty out there, but they dropped hints of it. That the twins' birth was a bit of a miracle/mystery. They make mention of something 'unnatural'... Just a thought.

How are people who actively hate a franchise's source material put in charge of writing for that franchise? This is what killed Witcher and now it's killed Star Wars. Star Wars is dead, and if you like it, then you are clearly nothing more than a mindless consumer sheep, and this problem keeps happening because of you. Lets stop this culture war and get back to good escapism and immersive storytelling.

Tbh I got the whole hide kids as the jedi like to come take them but if you consider them maybe early night sisters then whole convent also makes sense. However, why does it need to be an all female convent if they are not night sisters? Why were these girls born of the force? Why do neither of them have horns of the horned lady was actual mother? Why did her drawings have a Rebel symbol in it? Why did she try and murder her sister? Why did they meet up after the fire started if one wanted the other dead? What was that tube she escaped through? Why did it need hacking when it wasn't damaged? Why was there such a large tunnel behind the tube? Why did the jedi turn up at all when the fire started? How does a fire spread to the core power unit? Why was there fire on a lamp to begin with when they have electrical lighting? The build up to then was OK, but the last minutes were just moronic.

When I first heard they were making a show called The Acolyte, I just assumed it would be in the vein of those old Dark Horse Maul comics from way back when. Gritty, dark and dealing with the criminal underworld. Perfect setting for a dark side apprentice. The direction Disney chose to go is just mind-boggling. I don't get it.

As a life long SW fan, going 50, I liked this episode. It has lore, heart and the best writing,so far. A pretty good ep 3 in a 8ep series. Not everyone has to like it but at least be critical instead of calling everything "woke". Of the millions of species you're telling me none are non hetero? I'm more interested in what really happened to their coven. We only see it through Oasha? perspective. Not directed to you Harloff, you're a good human.

Last thing I'll say, most of us took in the OT as, what at the time was one complete story leading us to become fans. Let's see the full story before damning this thing to hell. We may find out how Anakin came to be potentially setting up a possibility of him being damned from birth.

@benz3685 The OT can be and are appreciated as stand alone films, but they're looked at what was considered at the time a full story. All I'm asking is for people to take in the whole story before saying their done.

I think this is Osha's memory of what happened and it's pretty likely that the jedi killed the witches. Either they help the apprentice overthrow the master, replace the apprentice or get the Ventress treatment.

I will start with what I like from this show. The environments, the look, actors and costumes and photography I think are cool. The witches angle of the force is still technically SW to me BUT… it’s apparent that KK sw is pandering to feminism and the story is written by women that have men issues. Not to mention that this episode dropped on Father’s Day week is not a coincidence. Feels like the story is written by a 5th grader with sexual identity issues and given the freedom to retcon the sw lore with minimal understanding and respect for the pre established lore. They are using sw tropes as a means to spoon feed these new notions of what female lead sw find more important than story development. The good twin bad twin trope is really mediocre way to base the show. Just KK Disney. The acting on this episode was dry and character arcs and motivations for the aftermath were not justified. The show is starting to collapse on itself.l to suit the feminist agenda, only to be sort of saved by the classic cameos of characters we like. Same pattern in every show. Deceptive and dishonest pandering to fans. I will watch and cringe and hope for good sw moments. What’s new…

I'm 100% confident the Dark Side character is Mother Aniseya. There's one shot in the trailer that sold it for me after watching this episode. Your commentary is absolutely hilarious! Never change that, Kristian. The episode overall was a 5 out of 10 for me. It just seemed like a lot of stuff we've already seen. Examples would be the Nightsisters, Anakin's birth, and possible Dyad in the Force. Sure, it connects things. I just didn't feel like it executed that well. If we see Plagueis or Tenebrous at all, it will be in the very last episode or episodes. I don't think we will. Sol is absolutely the standout in this show, and he is great. Also, the extreme jump of Mae going from I don't like your decision to I'm going to kill you was extreme and way fast. She went from zero to psychotic in .000002 seconds.

I definitely do not think that the Sith is one of the witches. I think that it is someone who Mae went and tried to go and find to learn the ways of that more dark side path. Or maybe the Sith came across her at one point and could sense it in her. Although again, we don’t have the context for a lot of things just yet so we have to wait and see.

I know they're not in the Republic, but if these witches are darkside using exiles, as they claim, then the Jedi would take them on - but I feel this is more to do with thinking a coven of darksiders suddenly has two little girls out of nowhere. I suspect the Jedi were assigned to Brendok to monitor the coven. But I like that they didn't outright claim the Jedi steal children. It would just break the whole point/mood/tone of the Jedi in the fictional universe. Which I think is important to keeping that Star Wars feel.

This episode felt a little like an episode from SW: Visions. The Jedi can show you the galaxy but at the cost of separation from your family. The emotion hit more in Visions.
