I really like the show and I’m glad about the mystery and new characters and I don’t want to see Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader or Anakin nobody it’s time to move on from that. Plus, I don’t have to explain that much to my family about the timelines of what is going on with the shows. This is the first show and content in which I do not have to explain to my family at all that much with only two or three sentences. This is something new and there is nothing wrong with exploring new content . Maybe the others should just go rewatch the original trilogy over and over and over and over again I want to move forward with this franchise and I’m not going to cry about it.

Whenever I watch Star Wars material, I always do an in-depth analysis of it. In this case, I understand what Qimir is trying to do with Osha. For those who don't like the bathing scene, there is symbolism in that scene. First, Jedi (and by extension Sith) are based on samurai and in Japanese culture there are hot springs where people bath in the nude. The water Qimir was bathing in might not have been hot, but the Japanese bath reference was still there. Second, nudity can be seen as the ultimate form of vulnerability. By approaching Osha in the nude while she was holding his lightsaber, Qimir was deliberately giving her the most open invitation imaginable to strike him down. Doing so would go against the Jedi Code of striking down an unarmed and vulnerable opponent and set the stage for Osha's own fall to the dark side. Palpatine used a similar tactic when he revealed his Sith identity to Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith. Also, Qimir is clearly trying a different approach with Osha than he did with Mae. He is probing and prodding her to find out her flaws, weaknesses, and what Qimir could use to tempt Osha to the dark side. As he does this, Qimir is not hostile to Osha and uses "kindness" such as offering her food to try and get her on his side. Qimir cannot make Osha his new apprentice if she is not willing to accept his teachings. Therefore, Qimir has to find a way to convince her to turn to the dark side without having to resort to violence and rage. Darth Bane did this approach when he recruited his apprentice Darth Zannah, Darth Plagueis did the same with a teenage Palpatine, and Palpatine did the same with Anakin Skywalker. Qimir tried a few times to coax Osha to give in to her anger, which is exactly what Darth Vader and Palpatine did with Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi. Qimir deliberately left his cortosis helmet unguarded so that Osha would be tempted to put it on. This reminds me of Momin's helmet, which possessed anyone who put it on, almost including Darth Vader himself. Another incident took place in the Aftermath book series where a member of the Acolytes of the Beyond wore a Sith mask and was possessed by the dark side essence in the mask. I think something similar is about to happen to Osha. Qimir's helmet is probably tainted by his dark side essence and it is about to tear Osha's mind apart. Some people might claim Qimir is a boring Sith, but when you go deeper into how he operates in this episode, you start to see that his manipulations are subtle, methodical, and meticulous.

Unless there is a strong spring directly into the sea, Quimir is just taking a bath in the ocean. As these springs work, he should be 1 or 2 meters away from the shoreline for max effect. Everything else would be dilluted too much by the waters mixing.

Mike, I actually think that island is Luke's island in The Last Jedi. There are the creatures that look exactly like really baby versions of the ones that Luke got the blue milk from. When Qimir says a very long time ago, what I think he is implying is he was Venestra's Padawan who also trained with Master Sol when he was a younger Padawan; that being said, might establish that Qimir is at least as Old as Master Sol, perhaps older. So when Qimir was a padawan at least 20 to 30 years ago, the same as Sol, and if you take into consideration that Qimir actually ask Sol why he doesn't recognize him, is also implying they may have trained together as Padawans. And you may be right the water he bathes in may be keeping him young.

Thank you very much for this break down. Awesome as always! You work so hard. Do you even sleep sometimes? ;-) Could Venestra be a Sith in disguise? Maybe she killed the witches with Qimir‘s help. He seems oddly connected to Brendok. Venestra hid in the shadows and brainwashed Sol to believe being responsible for the killing, then Vendestra took Qimir secretly as apprentice and eventually he wanted „to get free“ and be his own master and therefore she fought him with her light whip?

I think Sol knew right at the beginning that it was not Osha. It was only when Mae didnt admit it in that conversation, that he figured out she was a danger and took action. I also still do not think Qimir is a Sith. He found the helmet, maybe an old book, and he desires to be a Sith, maybe even to bring the Sith back by himself. But he is not in the line of Darths. I would not be surprised if really it is Vernestra who is the Darth, apprentice to Plagueis perhaps. Qimir was apprentice to Sol, she seduced him to become a Sith and then kicked him out for being a wimp, trying to kill him as he steals her Sith stuff maybe. He decided to leave the order and become a real Sith just to show her and take the power himself. She sees this and its like when Palpatine in the Clone Wars leaves to go take on Maul and his brother. The girls will kill her and the secret will be safe. Plagueis will take a new apprentice on Naboo, yada yada yada. Or maybe not, we'll see. Or better, that the power of Two is the power to create life. And this power will be used to create Anakin, Qimir is Plagueis appentice acquiring the twins for his master. He will kill his master in his sleep and take Palps for his apprentice. The girls will someday make Anakin for them, but for now Vernestra will come to kill Qimir and the girls, Sol will kill her defending Osha, and then get killed by Osha after he attacks Mae, and the Jedi will think Sol simply went crazy and Vernestra killed him as she died, so that Ki Adi Mundi can announce there was no real Sith. Maybe. Or perhaps Koril is the Sith, and all the rest of this is just her working for Plagueis, trying to paint a picture for the Jedi that will make them think this is all just a fallen Jedi and that the Sith are not real, all so she can take the girls back to herself and they can keep the coven going in secret, on Tatooine, while Plagueis takes a new apprentice on Naboo because Koril walked away. Or who knows, maybe none of it will connect.

Really connects the far away Jedi temple with the main story. Sol and Mae are a bit slowgoing and for me its tough how Sol always tries to open up and then falls back into his masked self. Its so easy to see. Qimir was there on Brendok and killed all the witches. (And Anikin like he killed the sand people.) And now he is seeking his revenge against the coven for something they did. Maybe he was the first attempt at force birth but was a male and given to the Jedi because of that? Or the witches killed his mom?

I reckon sol is plageous and he killed the witches and threw away qimir when the girls were discovered. The Jedi don’t know about the sith because they think sol killed all the other Jedi. Sol is seen as a fallen Jedi and not a sign. In episode 5, sol wasn’t there until qimir chased down osha and that’s when he just turned up? Interesting. Qimir asks what sol did with his darkness, so qimir knew about sols dark side. Plageous is wise so he could easily infiltrate the Jedi order. I think if sol is plageous then the show is saved and the writing is incredible. Sol also left all of the Jedi bodies and didn’t give them a proper burial. On top of this, sol showed how emotional and caring he was which is why plageous was a dark side user because he was trying to save everyone he loved. I think it’ll end with sol finding palpatine to train.

I think another interpretation of his scar is being a former sith apprentice, and being cast aside for another. it could also call to it with the power of two comment, him going from the rule of two he would have learned from his master. the fact he knows some sith code, which at this time would be near impossible to learn outside of the Bane sith due to the jedi suppressing any mention of sith, also suggests he has or had a direct connection to Tenebrous, plagueis, or a predecessor of theirs.

So 1 thing about Qimir saying that he wants the power of 2 in Eps 9 Pulps mentioned the power of 2 when he learned that Ben and Rey was a force dyad so my guess is Qimir is really trying to become a Dyad and guessing that one of the sisters is the best choice or even Sol 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ but I mean it definitely seems like they are hinting at a dyad before formed

Qimir now feels very much Darth Maul coded. Once an apprentice of a sith lord, Tenebris, who was discarded. He does say he use to be a jedi, "a long time ago, but people guessing Vernestra is a secret sith r wrong. I do believe the whip marks on qimirs back r from Vernestra but only at a battle where she found out qimir was a dark side apprentice. As for Sol, next episode will show us that in the past the witches possessed kalnaca to unalive the other jedi. Out of pure anger and desperation, Sol turned to the dark side and used lightening force to take out all the withches at one time. The witches unalive released kalnaca from their control. I believe all the characters in this story will die by end. Including Qimir, Sol, mae, and osha. Vernestra will cover it all up. 😎

I agree the Jedi have always been the bad guys. They kidnap children and if they don’t agree with their philosophy then they are either banned or exiled. I’m leaning towards Quimir being Plaguis cause he would be the only one that know about Cortis that or he is an apprentice of Plaguis that somehow found out about the planet. I think he could also of beaten everyone but was too distracted on killing his former apprentice

One thing for sure - in an interview last week, the creator said we should all be keeping an eye on Sol. There is DEFINITELY more there. I made a prediction several episodes ago that Sol was a Sith Apprentice and Vanestra was his Master. Then I thought about it and realized that theory probably had a low probability of being correct. Now, I am actually thinking it may still be correct. Vanestra went to her light whip VERY quickly to kill the "butterfly / moth" creature. Qimir's said his Master struck him with a lightsaber and discarded him. Was Qimir Sol's Acolyte? The hits of a past between those two, Vanestra and Sol having a close relationship, with both sometimes operating in secret within the Jedi, and even in Episode One, when the young student in Sol's Class said she saw "fire" when reaching out with the force; Sol said the force can be like a fire, playing off the link betwen fire and passion and redirecting it - while at the same time paying attention and replying to that student's response.....could Sol actually be a Sith or at least a Fallen Jedi?

Qimir wants to overthrow his master, he doesn't have to manipulate osha or force her to do anything. He gave her a choice, she could've just killed Qimir and taken the ship when the tides went down but she didn't, Osha's feeling of rejection from the Jedi and her curiosity towards Qimir and his motivations is driving her to the dark side. All the while Mae's anger, fear, and wanting vengeance towards the Jedi like Sol, after he tells her the truth could lead Mae to the light side.

Qimir is the most intriguing character on the show right now, in my opinion. Additionally, I believe there was a scene in the Master Sol teaser trailer when we got a little glimpse of Qimir's spacecraft and Sol's ship in the asteroid belt. I believe that the pilot that is attacking Master Sol's ship could be Osha (in the trailer we could see for a few seconds the pilot) . But I could be entirely wrong here 😅😂.
