Torbin makes no sense as a character. We were told he put himself into a 10 year exile, and killed himself for what happened on that planet. Yet, he did nothing wrong, he just wanted to go home, and for that he got mind graped, and had to defend himself against enemy archers, and a mind controlled jedi wookie. What happened that was shown to us, can even remotely reconcile to the two things. Then if you want to go further... him killing himself, takes place 16 years after what happened. He was in self exile for 10 years.... so for 6 years he was fine, not just fine, he was okay enough to not only complete his training, but then train to become a Jedi Master.... in 6 years... then suddenly started feeling guilty random;y to not talk to anyone for 10 years. The powaful leedah black ninja strong woman comes and uses her mental powers to defeat this seasoned evil white jedi man. Then someone might have asked Leslie, but what did he do? Ehh, he ... Bad man bad... Guilt, PTSD from mmm... Long ago. They did not have the story but a sketch of Torbin floating in the air. And like every terrible unskilled content makers, they could not work it out. The show runners wanted to leave their mark on this established franchise and they probably wanted to pull in all their friends to help. The main problem is that none of them have any talent or care to handle a franchise like Star Wars, and because they’re so full of themselves, they all believe that what they’re making is so great, that everyone who hates the show must be a troll or a liar.

In all honesty, this episode is a 0/10. On the angry Joe scale, a 0 is a non functional product, I genuinely believe from a writing perspective that this episode was non functional. From scene to scene, characters act vastly different and are almost completely unrecognisable. There’s genuinely non sensical stuff like flammable rocks, smoke teleportation (that you are still able to be killed while doing even though you are not physically solid). And there’s a complete disregard for the lore that has come before this show. I’m someone that doesn’t even care too much about intricate lore, but at the absolute least, you have to ensure that you don’t break the main movie lore (which they have butchered). A few cool lightsaber fights doesn’t take away from the fact that this story makes no sense and is a non functional narrative.

Nope. Dramatic hyperbole does not lead to a constructive rating system. The episode functions perfectly fine from beginning to end; it's just bad. 0/10 is just as useless as blind 10/10
@lightsydedean4 ай бұрын
@@tdarassp I respect your opinion, but I personally didnt find this episode perfectly functional. Theres numerous things you have to take into account beyond functionality being defined as ‘I hit play, an episode plays’. I liken this episode to a car without wheels. Does it technically work, yes it turns on, the air conditioning works, it might even move forward a little bit, but does it actually do what a car should do, no. This episode was the same. It has sound, it has onscreen characters, it has dialogue, it has visuals, but it has fundamentally broken writing (the metaphorical wheels of a plot). Not only that, but the actual episode, in the context of the series, contributes nothing. It reveals nothing that Mae doesn’t already know. It literally does not serve any function within the greater plot either. If you want to go even deeper, you can bring in budgetary factors as well. At over $20 million an episode, what is displayed in this episode is, at its core, not fit to be published.

that bridge scene really was so stupid. not just because sol should have force grabbed the girls, but because the bridges fall out from under them and they still just stand there staring at each other, reaching out to each other when they're like 5 meters apart. and sol doesn't shout for them to run or anything. the direction and writing in this show is so terrible.

@ge27194 ай бұрын
@@invincible1914 yep. They seemed to have tried to film it in a way where the girls couldn't necessarily see sol was the one holding up the platforms, but still the characters are written as incredibly stupid to keep standing on a platform that just fell, over a massive pit. And the terrible acting of them just deadpan shouting "what did you do" while they're in mortal danger just makes it even more awful. You'd think most kids would be too scared to even walk out over that pit nevermind standing there with the whole bridge being blown up.

... it would be cool if Lucas said RECENTLY RIGHT WHEN QUIGONJIN AS KICKED OFF THR COUNCIL the Jedi changed to recruiting children and buying off parents will billions in bribes, and thus the Jedi chose to keep power via evil. It's 100% evil to take 5 year old from parents, to be in dorms and by 10 going on combat missions. Lucas maybe had a genius twist based on this which he dropped when he got distracted by all the hate the Phantom Menace got ...... Lucas was Californian, allowing a military order to take children WOULD seem wrong to him yet he slid that in to Phantom Menace .. weird.... The clones were children too.... Double weird. I know I'm stretching logic, but Lucas maybe was gonna fight against politicizing kids to take sides in mega complex issues like climate change or income inequality, that is issue Lucas in 1990s would see was occuring.... The Republic and Jedi brainwashing children was evil and this alone would justify the Sith takking over and even lecturing saying you child abusing Republic practice evil while denying it and at least the sith don't deny it..... If the sith took over Nazi Germany we all would feel yeah that feels historically right and a just outcome .... ... I know the "bureaucracy and waste" of the Republic was supposedly bad and led to weakness but we never really saw this, no golden statutes and no rich politicians rich from theft, so the Republic falling seemed a shock...... The USA falling into dictatorship we could believe, we each pay like half our money in taxes so clearly it's being stolen or wasted, but we never saw this was also the Republics situation....
