It’s funny to me that Andor was treated like a legitimate show with 12 episodes at or around 45 mins. But the shows they setup to be their “must watch” content with the most beloved characters get 6-8 35 minute episodes with tons of filler. Thanks Kathy

I was so excited about this show when it was first announced. I thought “finally a show that would focus on the dark side as well as being set in a time period we hadn’t seen on screen before”. But really they did nothing interesting with the concept and very little to set the High Republic era apart from the prequels era, just a disappointment

I definitely understand the two big reasons why it was done given the ratings but also there was no way they would repeat that budget again. At the same time, it did give us some of the best lightsaber action ever put the screen and characters in the stranger and Sol. It was up-and-down for me a lot of the way, but I get the decision.

I guarantee that the takeaway Disney will have from this is "no more original stories. The Acolyte failed because it was original and Mando 3 failed because it didn't have any legacy characters returning like season 2. That means we should only focus on shows about preestablished characters everyone already loves!" Which is absolutely not what should happen. I wanted The Acolyte to succeed because I'm sick of shows like Obi Wan or Ahsoka and want something original from Star Wars, but it's the same old shit but there's no Ewan McGregor to distract from how piss poor the story is
