The shot doesn't prevent you from getting COVID, it's just supposed to make the symptoms less severe if you catch it. They made the mistake of calling it a Vaccine when it's more like a flu shot. Glad you and your wife are all good.

Yeah if my 88 year old grandma barely felt a thing I think it won't kill anyone anymore it's a slightly stronger cold now it just makes your body heavy and weaker

Glad you and your wife are recovering well! Few things to mention about covid that id like to share based on what you guys talked about in the beginning. As others said, vaccine just makes it less severe, it may have been effective at preventing infection with earlier variants but not anymore. No one wears masks or anything anymore so it's just spreading freely. We don't see rises in cases because there's hardly any testing anymore, or it's home tests that go unreported. You mentioned something that sounded like heard immunity, but unfortunately that's not possible either. You can get it fairly soon after recovering with newer variants. Lastly the possibility of long covid is scary. Even in mild cases it does a lot of damage to many parts of the body, and about 1 in 5 never fully recover. I think most common is extreme fatigue.

yeah true man. The one thing im really scared of is long covid. It sucks if you end up in the ICU but that is just bad luck. But long covid? Hell nah. Im quit an activ man and hearing stories where taking couple of stairs end in 5 min "nearly dead cause no air" is fucking sad.

@@florian9540 yeah it's terrifying, and people are just out there living life like it doesn't exist. I feel like most people don't know about it. Many governments seem to ignore the risks of letting covid spread. While not everyone masks when they're recommended, some do follow whatever the guidelines are.

Covid is so scary but at least the sensible people are vaccinated. I lost my dad and uncle to covid before the vaccines came out. My sister has long covid (for almost two years) and she has a bunch of lung problems now when she had nothing like that before. I'm glad that you guys are ok 💜

Sorry to hear about your family 😔Even though it's less severe with vaccines now, long covid is a scary possibility that people ignore. Even vaccinated with mild case can end up with it

The Hollow Knight Sequel- Silk Song - looks interesting, but aside from that, most of the announcements during the Xbox and other showcases were standard to mediocre. Alot of what was shown looked the same or was just blatant "copies" of already existing IPs. As for ports and what not, the Persona series- 3, 4, and 5 coming to Xbox/(re)releasing on modern platforms was incredible.

It's hard to lose the attachment of the sweet precious numbers/points/friends/followers. It's designed to make people feel bad if they lose that progress. I personally won't delete my social media because I'm content with it and avoid the toxic shit. When idiots try to argue with me I just block them.

Sounds to me like the "Amber" varient lol. No but really, I also got the c word last year (I have three children who all attend school in Southern Georgia...) in which I was the only one who developed pneumonia and was sick for almost three months before ending up in hospital. Of all the people I'm surrounded by, I was the only person who took c seriously.. yet was the only one to be very harmed by it.. THEN, the doctors at the hospital treated me like shi a about having it.. like they immediately felt that I was another person who didn't believe c was serious. Fun times Edit: I'm really excited to play "stray" , you're a cat in a post apocalyptic world trying to find your family amongst homicidal robots.
