I'm 63 years old. I was made redundant at the end of June 2022. Due to my age, and the fact that I need a hip replacement, I find it impossible to find a job. I have worked and paid national insurance for all these years, yet I have to apply for benefits using difficult, and some times misleading forms. Nobody helps me with this, despite being a UK resident from birth. Very similar thing happened to me Gary, but the reason I was denied sickness benefits was because of atos, the inhuman organisation that the corrupt tories put in charge of assessing people's health, often by people with little or no medical training. 43 years I paid into the national insurance scheme and when I needed it I was left to live of my life savings. Gary your right to be angry and immigration seems to be a problem for a lot of English people. Every single asylum seeker is here illegally, thanks to the rules put in place by the United Nations someone seeking asylum has to seek it in the first available safe nation. As they have to travel through the safety of Europe to get to us they are here illegally. There are not enough jobs available for those of us born here to British heritage let alone those who do not even speak a single word of English. I believe that the British Benefit System should only be conducted in English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish, Cornish, Gaelic, British Sign Language and Makaton. If you do not understand any of the ways in which people of the British Isles communicate then you do not qualify to use our benefits. I also believe that an employer should have to prove that a job can only be performed by foreign labour to then be able to hire non native people. We have so many homeless veterans on the street unable to work because all the jobs are taken by foreigners. I am not racist in any shape or form, I just think if you want to work and live here you respect and follow our rules, and not expect us to change our ways for you.

No, that's incorrect. What the French politician said is that Britain has allowed an informal economy to exist which attracts migrants and refugees. We have a severe labour shortage right now, mostly due to Brexit but also general Conservative party government economic vandalism, and demand attracts takers. Britain has a reputation as one of the least welcoming countries to refugees and migrants but has the best job opportunities as many businesses are desperate to employ labourers and they're willing to work for next to nothing. Simon Yip : What law are they breaking ? The Uk govt website states that you need to apply for asylum IN THE UK. So there is no way of asking for asylum unless you come to the UK. There should have been a centre in France ( the Le Touquet agreement ) but the UK govt has stubbornly refused to do so, despite the French being ok with that. I will be joining a small group of patriots at the weekend, on the south coast where the dinghies land, with the intention of putting up signs on the beaches, saying "Bienvenue en France" - "Welcome to France". Whilst I do not wish these so called asylum seekers any harm, I think it will be inevitable that sooner or later there will be trouble, as the numbers of these boat people reach unacceptable proportions (and it's not too far away now!) The excuse that they wish to come here because they speak English, is not true in most cases. The government have made laws to control these people, but don't have the guts to enforce them!

The main problem is who are these people turning up as there could be criminals , fugitives or terrorists among them but apart from that we're struggling with where to put them .
