Funny how so many people are annoyed at the laugh track. After watching Hanna Barbera cartoons so much as a kid I don't even notice it anymore. Too bad for all of you though who can't enjoy something because of such a small insignifcant thing. To be honest I find the laugh track adds to the humour, it brings me amusement when it laughs at nothing or can make a bad joke more laughable. Though I won't deny I wish them gone from modern TV shows...and I do wonder why laugh tracks was ever thought up in the first place.
@christianblack94269 жыл бұрын
Aye, you're right, and the Addams Family exactly embodies the perfect family of people who don't respond to things with anxiety, but are instead appreciative of everyone and everything, including strange things.
@davidgilleran20065 жыл бұрын
So you excuse and praise laugh tracks as something that adds to humor and makes bad jokes more laughable - but then wonder why laugh tracks were ever thought up? And wish them gone from modern TV? You just answered the why part by explaining what’s appealing about them to you!

Growing up with laugh tracks, I too have nothing against them. However, in this case, for whatever reason, the laugh track is mixed so much louder than the voices that I genuinely had trouble hearing what was being said over the fake laughter. And that's a problem.

Two of them. You could say that this was pretty much the pilot for the first series in 1973. Which practically everyone from the episode expect John Astin and Carolyn Jones. reprise their roles from either this episode or in the case of Fester and Lurch from both this episode and the original live action television series The second series which John Astin did return to voice Gomez was in 1992.

I'm always glad they had John Astin voicing Gomez in this New Scooby Doo Movie from the early 1970s, but wasn't there another The Adams Family cartoon from the early 1970s that had the exact same Hanna Barbera animation team? with someone else voicing Gomez who just wasn't as memorable or as humorous as Astin?
@artytoons7 жыл бұрын
Yes. Hanna-Barbera's "Addams Family" cartoon series in 1973 had Lennie Weinrib as Gomez's voice and Janet Waldo as both Morticia and Grandmama. Jodie Foster as Puggsley. Cindy Henderson as Wednesday. Ted Cassidy as Lurch and Jackie Coogan as Uncle Fester as the only two actors from the tv series returning as voices. The 1992 Hanna-Barbera "Addams Family" cartoons had John Astin returning as Gomez's voice with Carol Channing as Grandmama and Rip Taylor as Fester.
