the best part of the Addams Family is how everyone thinks they are evil but they really are the nicest and most welcoming family to everyone - even if their idea of welcoming involves blowing you up they never do so out of malice.
@onomstarr4 жыл бұрын
Plus chances are if you told em you didn't like being blown up they probably wouldn't do it. Thats kind of the funny thing; no one ever TELLS them they arent into spooky stuff or near fatal playthings. They just kind of do that because they want people to feel welcome. Outside of the kids being slightly mischievous, I sincerely doubt they would go out of their way to hurt/scare you for no reason.

The funny thing is the Addam’s are actually supposed to be like a twisted version of an old money blue blood family so their traditions as it were aren’t weird but everyone else’s are. @TherealRNOwwfpooh2 жыл бұрын
@@jonevarty2205 Point is, back in the 1960's, Gomez & Morticia were the first couple to have an overt sensual relationship. Also, they (along with competing "sister" series _The Munsters_ Frankenstein's Monster X Dracula's daughter couple of Herman & Lilly) were the first live-action couple to imply sharing a bed, rather than sleeping in separate quarters like most other sitcom parents tended to do at the time.
@jacobshrum68252 жыл бұрын
@@jonevarty2205 You have to remember the culture was nowhere near as sexual as we're used to, and it was controversial because the two were actors, not an actual couple. They would argue that putting two actors in the same bed, and having them kiss would encourage unfaithfulness in their real marriages/relationships. A lot would even argue that doing it at all for the show would be no better than doing it in any other context. Movies had a bit of kissing, but during the Hays Code they banned excessive kissing because they felt like it would be demoralizing to the audience. Three second maximum, and the mouths weren't open. This is why you would see couples in the same bed if it was for a cartoon, but live action was a different story.

Actually Debbie Drewberry lifted aspects from both Lisa Loring ('64 sitcom) & Christina Ricci ('91-'92 feature films) to voice the 2nd incarnation of Wednesday in animated form following Cindy Henderson's sugary portrayal of her in the _New Scooby-Doo Movies_ crossover with Mystery Inc. & the first animated series starring the macabre clan in '73 - both of which saw everyone's favorite "child full of woe" instead being rather demure & sweat (kinder than even 6-year-old Lisa even from the original satirical sitcom) whilst wearing a pink variant of her traditionally dark blue or midnight black collared dress frock in a stark contrast to her other depictions - as Debbie (no tie-in to Joan Cusack's Black Widow from the '92 movie) voiced Wednesday as the more level-headed of the 2 children (as Nicole Fulgure said during her portrayal for the "New" '98 sitcom remake spawned from _Addams Family Reunion_ as a direct-to-video TV movie pilot with no correlation to the earlier, big budget films from Orion/Paramount, "There were 3 of us", in reference to Pubert, "But Pugsly ATE the little one") using Lisa's niceities coupled with Christina's "playfulness".

By far the best "animated" version of the Adams Family by a long shot. The style, using the original song theme song turned up a notch, and the designs were beautiful. Even Gomez's kinda odd pink outfit which "almost" makes me look more normal is still eccentric screaming and might've been a purposeful nod to the pink usage of the set of the live-action black and white show. After this I'd say the two live action films "Adams Family+Values" were the best live-action versions.

This year 2016 marks the 25th anniversary of Paramount Picture's THE ADDAMS FAMILY (1991) and I wonder if this cartoon series will be available soon to come on DVD as a complete series.

i love the addams family, to those who don't know or fail to understand them the addamses might look as weird or downright creepy but they're quite harmless, they're a tightknit family and one of the best examples of a good functional family, they love and support each other and in a tough spot an addams will always stick out for an addams or a close friend

I really appreciate the fact that they designed most of the models to look like the comic characters.

Hanna and Barbera cartoons, huh? This cartoon looks similar to Tim Burton, I like it.

I can't express that how my memories become fresh when I watched it today. I can feel every moment that I had when I watched this cartoons on my TV in school uniform. thanks a lot

This brings back so many memories of Saturday mornings in the 90s. Back when this aired on ABC back in 1992. The days when Cartoons ruled the TVs from 730 till 1130. The toy commercials and cereal ads and the Anti drug PSA commercials and bumpers for the next cartoons.

My mom banned me from watching the show as a child because of its weirdness. So, what I would do is record the episode and wait for her to go to work at night so I can show it when she's gone.🤣🤣

I didn’t appreciate this enough as a kid but animation is absolutely gorgeous. You can almost see the each individual frame and how well it’s put together. Just take a closer look at thing in the beginning and you’ll see what I mean
