Bare in mind she joined the show quite late into the production, Thora Birch was originally playing the role as Christina was busy with Yellow Jackets and was pregnant. When Birch had to leave the production, they were able to bring Christina in last minute in a short production window. I'm sure she loved being part of the show, but from her mind it was a side job she did as a favor for a friend (Tim Burton) in between motherhood and another full time job, so her experience is just different than how an audience sees it.

Christina did do a Q&A with Christopher Lloyd recently and she seemed quite caring with the now-elderly man. The surviving cast (except for Anjelica Huston) have done some reunion appearances before so it's not like they haven't seen each other since the early 90s. It's actually fairly common for actors to not keep in touch, they often go their separate ways after a film is finished.
