During this war, Japanese soldiers cut the noses of Korean civilians. There is a grave in Japan made of 126,000 noses.

This is a real history. Top 3 world naval battle. At the time, Korean battle ship deck was three times more thicker than Japanese ships. Japanese captain did not know the rapids torrent. Korean captain knew about that area well and use it.

Japan was always trying to invade Korea and did unspeakably horrible things. Admiral Yi Sun Shin saved Korea in the late 16th century - he is a legend.

What’s so amazing about Admiral Yi is the second they switched him out for a different admiral the Koreans got absolutely annihilated by the Japanese. So it wasn’t just a case of the Koreans having better naval tech (though they did.) it was Admiral Yi being the greatest admiral in history.

The bow of Joseon is over 300M, and the gun of Japan is only 50M. And there are 5 unique cannons of Joseon, which are named "Cheonja Chongtong", Hyeonja Chongtong, Jija Chongtong, Hwangja Chongtong, and Gaza Chongtong. Once the largest cannon, Cheonja Chongtong, fired 1560M, and the second largest Hyeonja Chongtong went out 2400M like the main cannon. After that, Jija Chong Tong went 1080M, Hwangja Chong Tong went 960M, and finally, Gaza Chong Tong went 720M. had an army.

incredibly this movie is fairly accurate. Admiral Yi Sun Shin did indeed defeat a Japanese fleet at the Battle of Myeongnyang in October of 1597. The Japanese fleet numbered 133 Warships and more than 200 logistic support and troop ships. Admiral Yi had at most 13 ships. (Accounts vary between 11 and 13 ships). Admiral Yi used the fast moving and often changing currents of the Myeongnyang strait to his advantage luring the Japanese there and then using the violent changing currents to his advantage. To win one of the most incredible naval victories in history. I should point out that the usual figure given for Japanese losses 31 ships comes from Admiral Yi's report and amazingly is almost certainly an underestimate of actual Japanese losses.

To understand this film, you need to know the circumstances at the time. Japan was divided into dozens of countries over the past 100 years, and after a civil war, it was unified by a figure named Hideyoshi Toyotomi. But Hideyoshi was an ambitious man. He was not satisfied with just dominating Japan. So he plans to get his hands on China and India. The first stage of the conquest war was the invasion of Joseon. The plan was to capture Joseon and attack China from there. When Japan invaded, Joseon collapsed. Only 20 days after the Japanese invasion, the capital fell, and the king of Joseon fled to the Chinese border.
