Yi Sun-shin's military record was fabricated by Koreans. Yi Sun-shin won only 3 battles until the Battle of Hansando during the first two months of the war, after which he continued to rout. In the Battle of Myeongryang (October 26, 1597 AD), Yi Sun-shin was also defeated. The tide temporarily gave Korea the advantage, and the Japanese army's Kurusima died, but when the tide changed in the evening, the Korean army withdrew. Yi Sun-shin, who was chased by Japan, retreated to Gogunsan Island (off Gunsan) in the northern tip of Jeolla-do in five days. It is recorded in the War Chu Nikki and the Seihan Roku of Japan. Koreans saying that Yi Sun-shin, who escaped 200km, won, is ridiculous.

@@hiroono1 Your argument is wrong. Opinions differ on the number of battles against Admiral Yi Sun-sin, but there are more than 10 battles that have been 100% confirmed. This can be seen even in Japanese history books. If your claim is true, why were Japanese generals afraid of Admiral Yi Sun-sin? The results prove it. In the end, the naval battle was lost, and the supply of the army was blocked, and Japan was defeated. It is well represented in "Chōsenseibatsu-ki" published in Japan in the late 19th century. The May 2002 issue of the Japanese historical magazine states that the Hakikjin operation used by Admiral Yi Sun-shin in the past was used in the naval battle of the Russo-Japanese War. In addition, the descendants of Japan's Wakizaka in the movie honor their ancestors on the day of defeat and eat only seaweed on that day. This is also a real interview. History may be a little exaggerated, but it doesn't lie.

@@YANOLJA1 There is no record that Japanese commanders feared Yi Sun-shin. The only mention of Yi Sun-shin in Japanese records is that he died. In Japanese records, the Korean military commander Kim Si-min, who fought two fierce battles at Jinju Castle and was feared as "Mokso", is far more famous. However, he died in the first battle. Alternatively, when the Japanese army invaded Dongli, Sung refused to beg for his life and chose to die. The Japanese applauded this and buried him respectfully. In this way, the Japanese army treats excellent commanders politely even if they are enemies. However, since there is no record of Yi Sun-shin, it is thought that the Japanese side did not recognize him as an excellent commander. Of course, Wakisaka did not write anything about Yi Sunshin, nor did Heihachiro Togo say anything about Yi Sunshin. It's all forged by Koreans.

@@YANOLJA1 All books written about Yi Sun-shin in the 19th century are fiction. In annexing Korea, Japan needed to encourage Koreans. That's why Japan wrote the fiction that there used to be talented Koreans in the past. Japanese people can enjoy Godzilla movies knowing that monsters don't exist, but Koreans can't seem to do that.

@@hiroono1 In the 19th century, Japan tried to take away Korea's identity. Your argument is just a laugh. It is a painful history with the Korean War. Unlike Japan, which took its ears and nose as trophies in the war, we buried the Japanese army in a tomb on an island called Jindo Island. www

This is an epic film, but something you have to remember is this film only focuses on ONE major point/battle in Admiral Yi's life. His entire life story is an incredible event in history, so if you guys get the chance, I HIGHLY recommend you react to the "Extra History: Admiral Yi" series by the channel "Extra Credits". That series covers the full story of Admiral Yi's life, and fully illustrates why this man is Korea's greatest national hero.

The Japanese army cut off the ears of Korean soldiers, but not Korean citizens. The Korean people welcomed the Japanese army, provided them with food and showed them the way. The Japanese army was a savior for the Korean people, who were suffering from the tyranny of the Korean government. The Korean people set fire to the Korean royal palace and threw stones at the fleeing royal family ahead of the Japanese army. Many Koreans died in this war, but most of them died of starvation. Because the Chinese army set fire to the Korean food warehouse. The Chinese army knew that setting fire to food warehouses would cause more trouble for the Koreans than the Japanese army did, but they interfered with the Japanese army's logistics at the expense of the Koreans. Koreans believe that Yi Sun-shin interfered with Japanese logistics, but that is nonsense. Koreans don't even know this basic fact.

@@user-wz2ou6rz2z No, you are wrong. The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty and Yi Sun-shin's War Diary are registered as World Heritage Sites, but it is well known that they contain many exaggerations. And the Koreans are fabricating lies that aren't even written on them. For example, if you read the annals of the Joseon dynasty, you will see that the Battles of Busanpo, Myeongryang, Suncheon, and Noryang were clearly defeats of Yi Sun-shin, but Koreans fabricated the fact that Yi Sun-shin won. . Furthermore, Koreans do not know that 148 Koreans were sentenced to death as war criminals during World War II trials by the Allies. This rate is five times higher than that of Japanese soldiers. The 30,000 Lai Dai Han, created by Korean soldiers in Vietnam, is world-famous, and Koreans believe it was a labor of love. Lai Daihan does not know his father's name. Because rapists don't introduce themselves. On the other hand, Koreans are fabricating crimes in Nanjing and Unit 731. Hundreds of thousands of people are claimed to have died, but not a single victim can be named. Koreans must learn that there is no murder case without a dead person.
