That trip was my dream 28 years ago after preparing for long time in Tahoe but a painful nerve damage (Pudendal) destroyed it and still an issue now. I have been on those roads by van with our travel guests to the bottom of the Chihuahua canyons (Batopilas, Guachochi, and other towns). I know how steep and winding they are. Also, like you, I have seen the many rock slides. However, I never thought about someone traversing these dirt and paved roads on bicycles. Kudos to you both! That was quite an accomplishment.
