I have a soft spot for it because there is very little science fiction that fills this “mundane space SF” niche.. I mean sort of hard SF or at least not fundamentally ruled out by fantasy requirements, but also about people rather than just a vehicle to explore some dry and speculative concept.. “Planetes” was another example at least in the early episodes. For sure, it didn’t look like a $100m movie though.

There are bombs that lost more total money, but in terms of percentage of the budget that the movie made back, Pluto Nash looks like it's the biggest percentage flop of all time. Worldwide $7 million on a $100 million budget. The only worse performing one is 1997's Lolita, $1.1 million on a $62 million budget, but that was due to very few distributors wanting to touch it. Pluto Nash was a huge nationwide release and still bombed that hard. You really can call it the biggest box office bomb of all time.

I found Rat Race pretty enjoyable. It's almost like a modern Mad Mad Mad Mad World. I do mean almost because it's definitely not as insane and big as Mad Mad Mad Mad World. But for what it was trying to do I think it did it pretty well. The beginning dragged on a bit and the ending was pretty mundane. But the entire actual race in the middle is a complete fun watch if you like crazy slapstick like I do.

And we would do a clint Eastwood impression every time about eating ice cream off the floor and the shoe, belt because we were still getting whooping! Good times. I saw this in theaters with my dad when it came out, I was older than 8 and liked a few jokes but yeah my dad didn't like the film and he really enjoyed Eddie Murphy movies we watched Beverly Hills Cop 1 and 2 all the time among others films, but man after this I don't think we saw another Eddie Murphy film in the theaters and my dad passed away roughly tens years after this film came out. Any other new Eddie Murphy movie he waited until they the came out on VHS or waited for the tv premiere, it left that kind of taste in his mouth.

Beverly Hills Cop 1 and 2 are great movies.. Some of the best action movies ever..

The only reason I loved this movie was because Rosario Dawson was in the movie 😂

Here my controversial Opinion Most People would say ,,at least Top 50 of the worst" but me... I just think this Movie is boring and looks cheap. 4/10 from me. Not even in my Top 100
