Korey must have missed Leprechaun Returns as that's the most recent one in the series. It's a direct sequel to the first film. Just a correction: Scott didn't lose the gold coin- Fozio came into his room at the casino and stole it. He punched Scott when he tried to stop him and after he leaves, that's when the Leprechaun comes into the room and bites Scott. Also, Warwick Davis and other crew on these films have said that they're all technically different Leprechauns and not the same one. The only Leprechaun that's supposed to be the same is the original and in Returns.

With "cursed wish" plots, people get their wishes, but they also come with a related curse (like you become rich, but all your loved ones die, or you become famous, but you lose your soul). But in this movie, they just straight up dont get their wishes. For example, Old Dude wishes for the young woman to want him, but it turns out to be a robot, or Old Lady wants to look like a hot 20-yr old, but she explodes. I feel like they could have put a bit more thought into what curses would accompany each wish. For example, the young woman wants Old Dude, but she turns out to be psycho, or Old Lady gets to be sexy looking, but she loses her eyesight.

Woo funny story with this movie. I was going to USC for film around 04 and we had one of our professors get ill so we had a sub for about a week, I was bothered cause I knew I had seen him somewhere before and he finally ask me on the last day why I kept starring at him in a puzzled way and I tell him I've seen him before and he just burst out in that silly accent from when he's transforming into a leprechaun and does some of the lines from this movie. I was shocked the lead from Leprechaun 3 was teaching us script writing at USC 🤯
