Maybe the height over bore is affecting the accuracy of the sights? Also under the side picatinny is m-lok and it has screw holes in the stock for a ring loop :D and it is insanely easy to take off the front to get to the barrel, which seals to the breech with an o-ring.

Yeah height over bore for sure has to do with it. Also using a stock will help immensely.

The Aeon Pro X’s biggest upgrade over the regular Aeon Pro to me seems to be the addition of a N-strike style stock attachment point. I’m gonna throw a worker stock on mine once it hits shelves and turn it into a kind of CQB style springer with the BCAR and an airsoft style holosight and just go to town with it. Great review fam!

I managed to snag one recently and coming from someone who owns the original aeon pro, the x is better in almost every way, plus more! The stock attachment point alone was what sold me, as priming the original was difficult without that extra support. However, even without a stock, it felt noticeably easier/smoother to prime than the original. Everything about the build and overall quality is such an improvement. Easily one of my top favorite blasters. Would highly recommend. Especially for that price.

Someone posted something called the APX-24 DMR kit for the Aeon Pro X. It converts it essentially into a bolt action carbine. Amazing potential for a $25 blaster.

Thanks for the vid...I love aeon pro it was my first high power blaster I prefer it over the nexus so was excited about the aeon pro x but dang man the main reason I loved aeon was the top load and the new one doesn't have that option wich Is a deal breaker for me but definitely picking up the nexus pro x

The “aiming problem” is probably just because the barrel is so low in relation to the top of the blaster. They didn’t bother to make the adjustment with the iron sights but one could zero in an optic to adjust for the barrel being so low.

Fwiw, there are 4 screws up at the front of the blaster that you can take out to remove the front to allow access to the barrel. I tried to press fit a worker barrel with some tape around it and got about 180-190 fps. The problem is very much the short barrel and I hope someone is able to make a front cap replacement that allows for easy barrel designs. DZ themselves also say they are gonna sell a spring + spacer for 200fps, and with a longer barrel, we could be talkin about 230+ fps. But i’m merely theory crafting and waiting to see what others can do with it lol

If you remove the butt stock attachment, the spring and plunger comes out to switch out springs without having to take apart the blaster.

One of my favorite mods with the original Nexis and Aeon pro. Was that if all the air seals were good, if you just took the Nexis barrel and put it in the Aeon, it turned into an absolute cannon. I never tested the FPS but I just shot it a few times for fun, and it had to of gone 300 yards at least. I’m super curious if you take the nexus pro X barrel and put it in this one, will it do the same thing

It's too big to be holsterable, it's too small to be a primary. That has always been it's problem. It's good for CQB.

You are kinda using the sights wrong. Not entirely your fault though. You need to find the position that gets you results. For me I just found how high I needed to hold the front sight above the rear to account for the height over bore! Once you get that for your range you’ll be able to estimate for other distances. Oh and 😢 the nexus was out of stock before I could even buy it! 😭

Thanks for the review. I wonder how shooting this blaster *without* the SCAR barrel extension attached would affect the speed and accuracy. Also, I just checked the Walmart website and found this item is already out of stock. I realize you don't work for Walmart, but do you have any idea how long it will be before they have it again? BTW, that other new Pro X blaster you reviewed recently, the Nexus Pro X, is also out of stock.

I bought two of these blasters, one for me and one for a buddy who is very new to the hobby. I will let him borrow a stock and some additional mags. For $25 he will be able to play against other Pro grade (150-200 FPS) blasters just fine. Is this the best loaner blaster with a stock out there at that price point?

The one thing I dont get: Why do all these blasters use AEG compatible grips? AEG grips are just fatter than normal GBB / real steel grips and more expensive a lot of the time.

I tried to use an AEG grip and it was actually too wide I’m pretty sure a normal grip is the correct size but haven’t been able to test yet

@@Waldherz Yup just got to it and standard AR grips fit pretty snug. Just put a magpul grip on my Stryker 2.0 which uses the same grip mount as the Aeon Pro X and the Nexus Pro X. The hole for the mounting screw isn’t threaded but the plastic is soft enough it’ll still go right in. Feels much nicer than the stock grip.
