@lucholosabe, great comparison, Rocky Schenck incorporates some of the same metaphorical imagey and obscure, thought-provoking sequences, questioning .. almost "mocking" the very orgin of "establishment" definitions using "dream-work" to explore infinite possability and yet the absurdity of the references are so comical and "easy" to process that the entire clip leaves you with a hundred and one questions but an over-whelming feeling of "yep, that's what i was thinking," lol.... Just a great, fun, interesting clip! Not quite the depth of a two hour David Lynch feature film, the symbolism of Rocky Schenck's work in a four minute music viseo is quite admirable ... I love the conparison, great observation. :)

Because their from my home town, Cincinnati and we can't do anything right or get noticed for the large amount of talent here for some reason. Always treated like a second rate town even though we have professional sports teams on a nation level, one of which won a championship in 1990 and the other has never won and lost to the same team both times they made it to the super bowl....

This song still makes it for me, over 20 years later and it's still as fresh today as when I first heard it. Especially the power in some of the verses that stand out: "I stayed in too long But she was the perfect fit And we dragged it out so long this time Started to make each other sick" and "Let me in I'm cold All messed up but nowhere to go You got indecision, and indecision is my enemy Well, unlock the cabinet, hey I'll take whatever you got, got, got Now I'm on it, now I'm on it And you're done" Wow! Fuckin' brilliant.

For me it captures that feeling of aimlessness of 20-something relationships that was very prevalent in Gen Xers who didn't know what the fuck we were doing. Add in drugs to the mix, and it's a recipe for despair and chaos.

Hey, Nik Fowler. In answer to your question. The band formed just north of Cincinnati, Ohio. In the little college town of Oxford. The school is Miami U. of Ohio. I'm not positive Greg was attending there, but that's kinda the origin. Greg's had success in other area's, but the "Wigs" are his passion. If you listen to all their stuff, you can always find "that one song" that just knocks you back ! For me, the album "Black Love" is just perfect, start to finish. The song "Faded" is the killer though. When I hear it, I'm flooded with a million thoughts and emotions. I wish they would tour through this area. Maybe someday. "Wigs Rock" ! ! !
