I listen to all kinds of music, from heavy metal to classical and all kinds in between. I can't describe why I love the Afghan Whigs so much. They hit somewhere inside of me that other bands don't. I can't describe it, but I love it. Thank you, Afghan Whigs.

I’m 61 years old and have been listening to music my whole life and this is the greatest song I’ve ever heard. It’s a masterpiece.

Check out Greg Dulli, the afghan whigs, the gutter twins, and the Twilight singers. It's all him.

To me, this is what the Whigs, or Dulli, at least are all about. Low key masterpiece. Even better than Algiers, imo

I saw The Whigs perform at The Crowbar in State College PA back in 1999. They were amazing..it was a small venue, but hands down the greatest live performance I've ever seen

I'm probably responsible for 100 of the views of this video. It is the best song off of "Do to the Beast" and one of the best of Dulli's career. The video is perfect for the song.

This song is up there with any material from "Black Love" or "Gentlemen". Best song on "Do to the Beast" and one of my favorites ever by Dulli. Pure class.

I'm totally intrigued by the lyrics. My theory is it's a love song from the point of view of the Grim Reaper. Tasty stuff, Dulli!

camera work is nicely done and the tone is interesting, just the video that kinda.... yeah... Song is okay. Video starts amazingly but then kinda falls apart. The whole "good and evil" representation is typical. Women in white dress good and skull suit scrub evil. Boring. Would have been interesting if the woman on the floor in the beginning were murdered and there's a killer who is briefly shown with the dog representing neutral good in the fact that it is aware of the situation but unable to do anything, possibly seen at the end bothering a bystander? The killer of course would not really be fully seen but the video would cut from portions of him being seen walking away (presumably to erase all evidence on his person) and the dog seeking help. There would be snippets of the incident that took place at appropriate times throughout the video. And that is how it should be done.

No. Not how it should be done. What a pretentious comment from you.

And yet, they decided to go with a director that’s done music videos, commercials and film since 1986 while you’re here ironically critiquing on KZbin. You’re more than welcome to make your own video, but unless you have decent camera, lighting and video editing equipment (no, an IPhone isn’t decent gear) it’ll look worse than the video projects we did for our field production classes back in college. But again, show us how it’s done. Videography, much like music is art. And while this might not be (the video or the song) everyone’s cup of tea, you need to be able to look past that and see/listen to what goes into the production. It’s open to interpretation, and it could be seen as a new take on Red Riding Hood. But I’m not the director of the songwriter. 🤷♂️
