Social media has done more harm than good. It exaggerates reality to an unseen level. Everybody doesn't deserve a camera and microphone. Some take their personal gripes and experiences with this group or that group and think they speak for everyone or try to paint anyone from said group as the same. It's toxic. Sometimes I realky miss life before social media.
@premotek21174 күн бұрын
I never take any of the bashing that different tribes say against each other serious. I think that's what the problem is, some people take these nonsense comments to the heart. It's only a small group of people from every tribe that talks like this and they do not speak for the majority. If one person says something bad about a group of people, then that group of people will blame the whole tribe for saying that. I find it very funny, especially on live chats when everyone is going against each other. Very silly and immature.

Man Jamaicans and black Americans don't have no beef that's online banter. In the real world Jamaicans and FBA be working together and having intermarriage for years. But black ppl as a whole are not a monolith. Like here in NYC Brooklyn cats don't mess with the brothers in the bronx...
@kingmoreorless28108 күн бұрын
Exactly bro tell then again.
@tman2298 күн бұрын
I don't know about that. Jamaicans be respectful too to FBA. I was working as a cable TV/internet technician in Bronx, NY in a area where many Jamaicans live, and I had quite a bit of experiences where they were very disrespectful when it come to FBA serving them especially with the women who hardly ever seem to be able to control themselves. So if other FBA has been getting experiences like I have, I wouldn't be surprised if others aren't allowing anymore of the disrespect of any level.

HISTORY... Slavery existed in all the Caribbean islands before slavery even existed in America. The caribs were enslaving and eating the Tiano/Arawak Indians. Islanders just dont understand the race division due to slavery. Even when they sent the Kings, Queens and royal family from America and the entire world to Jamaica to be broken during slavery and then later, the Irish and still, they unite rather than divide. Sny conversation you have starts there and so Islanders tend to not understand black Anericans and see them as people who cant move forward to greatness. When they talk about black greatness, to them black Americans are the ones who hold blacks back because its always about race. To Islanders, blackness is determine by sunlight, they see people coming to thier country, laying in the sun and trying to look like them so they know that thier skin is superior. Thiet skin is the greatest being chocolaty, smooth and strong. They dont understand black Anericans. To them, Black Americans see thier skin as inferior which to them is mental slavery. Every argument you will have with an Islander stems from there. I always tell people that black people are not a monolith and not all black people are the same. We are all different black people

Due to our shared trait of melanin I believe we all have commonalities we should focus and build on. Otherwise we do injustice to ourselves and teach our children to continue mindsets of division. Keeping them stagnated mentally. Lets elevate and put forth a better image worthy of our inherit beauty..imho . ❤

@SynergyEnergy337 күн бұрын
There is no difference. Both titles refer to the native black-Americans who's ancestors have been here in the US for hundreds of years since the beginning of the age of slavery, and even before then.. during the age of indentured servitude back in the early 1600s, as is the case with mine.

FBA are for FBA and no other blak ppl. To talk about "delineating" is so childish. I have no time and as long as FBA continue to talk about separating themselves I'm, as a pan African, going to encourage it. If FBA don't want to be around the diaspora blacks then go. bye bye. I'm tired of this entitled attitude some FBA have. I support all our ppl including FBA but not those who attack non FBA and not those clownish ones who want to remove themselves. it's ridiculous. We're one ppl simple tings

Funny thing is this is on Twitter and not in real life. Stop talking nonsence !! Even if you were all in leadership positions in the world, no caribbean people would be jealous of you! There are great black acheivers all over this planet, whether theyre given credit for their contribution or not. You all have this mindset that you are exceptional , and you are not! Caribbean people excel wherever they go. The tallest building in Daubi was designed by a Jamaican, and i could go on and on. Other caribbean and Africans has contribute amazingly to civilization too.. It’s all in your mind, and you need to get over yourselves ! It is ignorant to generalize groups of people you dont even know, or interact with. You make a big deal over the comment one , or a few persons… Jesus Christ people, grow up!!! There are children dying in this world, even in our neibourhood !!!
