@@jayy88Two things can be true and you have to call it like you see it. If AVP didn’t call conservative plays after Gonzo’s pick we’re looking at, at least a FG shot which puts the game out of reach. If Mayo challenges that 3rd and 10 catch from the Colts (which the WR never had possession of) do they even go on that 20 play scoring drive to win the game? The roster lacks talent but the inexperiences of the coaching is also a huge factor.

They averaged 6.5 yards/carry. You can argue that they shouldn't have ran the ball twice after the Gonzo interception, but we can't act like it's this crazy coaching failure to do so. They had been gashing the Colts all game. They need a new organization more than players. All bad teams have plenty of good players. Of course they need some new players, but all rosters overhaul every year anyway. Players careers are short. I guarantee that Bill would have changed the roster over plenty this past offseason with the money they had. He never would have just resigned a bunch of their own players to healthy raises. Basically the new Pats regime is saying they have a long rebuild, but they decided that in year 1 that they would do absolutely nothing about it. Makes no sense. The coaches and gm are idiots, but the Krafts aren't any better. The way they are screwing Drake Maye is a crime.

These offensive playcalls are fine for most of the game, but when they have a chance to ice the game they turtle and play not to lose which, ironically, is causing them to lose. Your best chance to win is your QB and his playmaking ability. You absolutely cannot put the fate of your team in the hands of the defense because they will fail you every time, they are near the bottom of the league. These decisions are unacceptable, AVP has done a fine job developing Maye but he can't run a gameplan that best fits the tools he has and the teams current composition. He needs to go.

Phil defending the runs after the Gonzo int is laughable. He sounded like someone who just reads the stats. The Colts were expecting the run, they were protecting the run. That's why it was stupid to run it twice after Drake had been dominating with his arm. Guys just have to accept that Mayo and his staff are mediocre. Even when we were winning the game it was poorly coached. It doesn't matter the talent on a team if it is poorly coached

Why do we need to win a meaningless game? Last year Pats lost to the Giants. I missed field goal. That loss really helped us get the number three pick which got us Drake Maye. Losing is fine for this horrible team. The most important thing is to recognize that this is a horribly coached team. This team was always one of the fewest penalized teams under Belichick and they made less mistakes than their opponents. The Pats usually outcoached the other team, not the other way around. Now they one of the highest penalized teams in the league and make incredibly stupid mistakes. They get outcoached more often than not. You can't win in the NFL with shit coaching, period. AVP has to go. He is washed up and the game has passed him by. His play calling is stupid. He doesn’t understand their identity as an offense. Run game is non existent yet he wants to run on first and second every single drive

Hiring all of Belichick’s staff was a terrible idea. You fire the best coach in history but keep all of the personnel and coaching staff tor a “fresh start” This team needs to hire a GM and let him hire a coach like every other team in the league. You can’t mess up with this kid he’s special!
@BaronVonMunch
@BaronVonMunch 2 күн бұрын
I think I posted this same idea last week. You only get rid of Belichick if you are bringing in something new like Ben Johnson or something. Or go after Harbaugh like the Chargers. Else you keep Belichick until you find something. We know most of Belichick's people are weak and they just follow orders. If they do a good job, Bill tells them so. If they don't, Bill tells them they gotta do better. Without Bill, they have no clue what to do and that has become painfully obvious.

BB was not the best coach in history. Tom Brady papered over so many holes. BB is a serviceable coach, that's it.

@@johnnybodangles - I agree, if Bill Belichick was the coaching GOAT, he'd never have gotten rid of Brady, and he'd have been able to win games without Brady.

@ hahahaa ok bro whatever you say. You realize the first 3 titles were won largely due to Bill’s defensive coaching. Not to mention, Tom himself routinely refers to him as the greatest head coach of all time. But you know better 😉 lmao

lmao your obviously trolling right? We have the worst rated oline in the entire NFL in terms of pass protection with a score of 2 lmao. Bo Nix for instance his oline is rated number 1 in pass protection with a score of 99 and Daniels Oline is rated number 13 with a score of 64. And despite that historically bad oline and no wr1 and Drakes young age and lack of experience Drake is averaging nearly 300 total yards a game..Brissett with this same supporting cast was averaging 130 total yards a game lol.
