A presentation of new, groundbreaking research on antisemitism and Islamophobia on college campuses after Oct. 7 and a discussion with a distinguished panel on its implications for safety and free speech on campus. Professor Robert Pape, Director of the Chicago Project on Security and Threats, presented the findings of his latest study, “Understanding Campus Fears After October 7 and How to Reduce Them” based on national surveys of U.S. college students and American adults fielded in December 2023 and January 2024. To discuss the implications of the findings, Professor Pape was joined by Professor of Law and renowned First Amendment scholar Geoffrey Stone and Tony Banout, Executive Director of the Forum for Free Inquiry and Expression at the University of Chicago.
