My religious upbringing and morality align me with Palestinian freedom. Israel has been harming Palestinians brutally and violently since before it was granted status as a nation state. These students have some valid criticisms of the dynamics of the protests and encampments, but they’re clearly indoctrinated into a single narrative lacking historical context and nuance. I’ve not heard a single student criticize the fact that Netanyahu supports Hamas with vast sums of $, as a tactic to prevent a two state solution.
