15:32. I think he said "hoopla" not "hooha". He was mirroring the judge, but he did it twice close together which made it a little weird. Unless that's just how he normally talks, but since you seemed surprised, I'm guessing not.

He should've never spoken to the media and played the victim card. He made his situation crumble further down the social media path of doom. Should have just said hey, I made a mistake, it was really dumb, but I'm going to own up to my mistakes and get my license and this warrant sorted so that I can be better, and a productive member of society. Now because he refused to take responsibility, and even when confronted by the judge in court with evidence that he was lying directly to the media, and the judge said all he cared about was that people take accountability for their actions, he still didn't pick up on the que that was the part where he was meant to speak up, and appologise. The judge even gave him the opportunity to stand up and take responsibility and appologise in a respectable manner, publicly in his court, man to man and would have made him look far better had he just gotten up after hearing the judge voice his concerns and say look, you're right, I did the wrong thing and I appologise. He didn't even have to go into the whole, I knowingly lied to the media too just to try to stop people calling me an idiot and blamed it all on the judge and tried to shift the blame onto anyone else. But instead he hid behind his lawyer, said nothing, and had her be dismissive of the judges comments, basically saying, "let's move on, let's not talk about how stupid it was, how he isn't taking responsibility for his actions, he wasn't under oath, so when he lied directly to the media, said he had a license and thst it was someone else's fault and that the judge was wrong, it wasn't his fault and let's not talk about that... let's just move on and not make him appologise either like you're asking him very nicely to do. No, how do we move on from here without him having to take any accountability for his actions whatsoever?" And that's what pissed the judge off finally and why he said what he said when he was like, Judge: "do you know what you were doing on this xx/xx/xxxx date?" Fat idiot: "oh I was held up in bed from my injury" Judge: "No, you were down at the place, renewing your ID card. The I'd card that you've renewed every year since you were 19, which proves that you have known the entire time that you didn't ever even have an ID" Because he didn't take the cue from the judge to just stand up and say "look I did the wrong thing and I'm sorry" and take accountability like the judge asked him to do so politely the first time, he absolutely eviscerated him, with flawless evidence no less. And that's what you get. Shouldn't have been a loser, a liar, and now because of all the eyes and scrutiny on him, everyone now knows he not only already had a warrant out on him for the exact same thing, and that he knew he wasn't allowed to drive and never had a license without a shadow of a doubt, and lied directly and intentionally to the media and public about it just to try to get people to stop calling him a moron for driving in the zoom call, but now we also know thst he's an absolute bum, and hasn't paid child support in 12 years, left his child and the kids mother with nothing and never gave them a dime. And I'm sure even more things will come up now. All because he didn't just take the opportunity from the judge to appologise, or just not lie in the first place. He could have just kept quiet and it would have died down in a couple of days, because that's what happens to every story in the media. But now because he tried to get people to stop talking about him, it's thr Streisand effect. He has ensured that even more people talk about this, even more people share it, and that it gets talked about for even longer than it would have if he had just kept quiet in the first place. Prime example of The Streisand Effect at work.

@@AliensrReal2nah she absolutely was dismissive of the judges comments. And all the judge said he wanted only moments before, was for people to take accountability, just like everyone else who goes through the court and does it the right way. And by that he just meant he wants him to own up to the fact that he lied and should appologise. Then immediately after, when she was like, paraphrased: "look, let's just look forward and see what we can do to move forward. My client didn't upload the video, he wasn't under oath when speaking to the media, so he didnt commit purgery, lets move on" What she was actually saying was, let's stop talking about who's fault it was, let's not talk about the fact that he lied and isn't taking accountability, he didn't upload the video so he didn't want to go to the media despite the fact that he went to the media, and when he spoke to the media, he wasn't under oath, so when he completely lied through his teeth to them and blamed the judge, all while full well knowing that he never had a license in the first place, yet told the media and the public he did and that he wasn't at fault just so he could save face and people would hopefully stop calling him an idiot and giving him s**t for his incredibly stupid actions, let's just not talk about that, let's not address your concerns, and let's not make him take accountability and appologise for lying about the judge and about having a license and everything else, lets just forget about it and move on with no consequences and not point out that he lied so he doesnt get outed and made fun of even more. So yeah, she absolutely blew off his concerns and was completely dismissive if ehat the judge said. Basically all he wanted was for the guy to take responsibility and admit that he lied and it was his own fault, but the guy didn't want to do that, remained silent and did nothing because he doesn't want to admit what he did was wrong and that he's an idiot. Hope that helps you understand a bit clearer what he meant.

Yes, since 1999, Mr. Harris has been "traveling" (not driving) with a Michigan I.D. card instead of getting a (regular) driver's license. I.D. cards are issued for those people who don't drive, can't drive (have a suspended or revoked driver's license, or don't want to drive an automobile. They are NOT considered a "driver's license" and can't be used "instead of" or "in place of" a driver's license. I can't imagine in the last 25 years that Mr. Harris has never been pulled over for a traffic violation, even a minor one, and not been asked for his driver's license, insurance, and registration just like everyone else "traveling" on the road. What happened the previous times he was stopped? I guess in Michigan, just paying $10.00, for an I.D. card every year, really works out fine. Well, at least for 25 years it "worked". Yes, we'll all feel safer when Mr. Harris is back on the road with a "real" (official) driver's license.

Reply crew: Judge Simpson appropriately defended the integrity of the judiciary. JS modeled the very essence of the word Disciple- correction with consequence. JS’ recitation of what happened since the age of 19 to today is a tad bit extra but given all of his lying to the Press, I’m rolling with the chat-FAFO.

You took the words right out of my mouth: Judges have an affirmative duty to protect the integrity of the court, and that includes the integrity of the whole judicial branch. Judge Simpson needs to always strive to do that which maintains public faith in the courts. He's doing that absolutely masterfully. My admiration for Judge Simpson has only deepened after this.

I wish Judge Simpson would have made the defense attorney expound on her little comment when she thanked the police officer about being so kind and courteous on the traffic stop. She insinuated it could have “went differently”. What exactly did she mean by that? I would have loved to hear. This woman thought she smelled $$$ for a lawsuit but sadly she was mistaken.

@@pleadthefifthNot necessarily. She just believed in her client too much and he let her down. They’re not the best fit together. She obviously wants to distance herself from him. She does act like a slippery politician so there seems to be some truth to your statement. However, so does her client (albeit, more unsuccessfully than her). This case is more complicated than it needs to be bc of the lack of accountability and honesty from the defendant

But then the follow-on news stories that it was "fake news" and or that the Sec of State had screwed him and all the other lies just irritated me so much I couldn't take it. And here we are. Disclaimer, I drive through Judge Sipson's jurisdiction (or do I travel, I can never keep this straight) often, so I have been really hinky about making any comments.

To the defence council, the virality of the video or who posted it is irrelevant. We now know he never had a licence so he knew he wasn't licenced. Had he had a licence previously, after the traffic stop he knew he was coming back suspended and should have taken steps to rectify before court. If a person is unaware of a suspension and corrects it before the court date, Judge Simpson is likely to go very gentle on them. But to know you have no licence AND drive in zoom court, he was basically spitting in the judge's face and should have expected the harsh response he got.

That is what makes Judge Simpson an absolute incredible, dignified, honest, transparent, and humble Judge. He is filled within integrity. When he is wrong, he will not try to convince you that he is right, instead, he will look you in the eyes, telling you he was wrong and this is why and then he will tell you that he is very sorry. You cannot find another man that has more integrity than Judge Simpson. God, please bless this Judge and all his family, In Jesus Name, Amen.
