I cant imagine anyone playing this role other than Blake. the way she spoke her lines was timeless and you could tell she had an old soul. she's absolutely perfect. definitely in my top 3 favorite movies.

I agree too, plus she moves with that old grace, classic elegance, vintage style and glamour that makes her look like a glamorous old lady, and also her soft voice helps. She's definitely a perfect Adaline. (But I still think she should've chosen William first instead of escaping, he was perfect & truly loved her forever, besides being a lovely man and so handsome, pity).

I love this film. As I was watching for the probably 25th time or more I wanted to find out who was behind this concept. I am truly satisfied, and excited about this director and what we will see from him in the future. I was very happy to have found the interview that told why this concept. It makes sense, and it especially appropriate now a days with all the stuff about youthful looks. I am happy with the entire cast. There are no accidents. All the right people were in this film. Congratulations Lee Toland Krieger. I would love to meet you some day. While I am a writer, I view films with the eye of a film maker. Writing and photography are my favorites.

Great movie storyline. Blake is a natural beauty; sensitive and calming. This was a heavy-laden movie, collectedness and severity at the same time would have been tough!

Well William Was Right After all, The comet Della C 1981 finally did return. A half Century late, But as Bright and Magnificent as he had predicted. This Movie is a Total Heartbreaking Masterpiece, WHen William Remembered Adaline I got Goosebumps. Remember One thing guys, Immortality is not a Gift. Its a curse. I am happy that Adaline Now ages.

Katherine Heigl? Nooooo....she's great in some things, but doesn't have the inner nature to carry this story. Blake is the singular choice for such a role as this.

Natalie was not at all right for this role. Heigl would have ruined it. Why was she even considered? Blake is the ONLY PERFECT choice! Her classic elegance, sophistication, and charm, are always spot on. Blake is the one who influenced the entire wardrobe. Without her, no one would remember this movie at all.
