My le pyro... Le killed people? The backburner thermal thruster loadout kinda goes hard in competitive matches.....
One of my highest effort videos so far so I hope my effort pays off and you guys enjoy :D I had a lot of fun with this one, and I'm hoping to continue to up my production quality by taking my time, especially with my bigger projects. I took lots of inspiration from LazyPurple and his "How it Feels" in this one, as he was one of the reasons I got into TF2. I've been watching him for a long time :D I also tried to take some more modern inspiration from like Zenith with his 30 days series and a more challenge video kinda story driven video. Anyways I have nothing more to ramble about at the moment, but thank you all for watching!!!

Seems like Jetburner Pyro is a very independently-satisfying class that likely does well in the freeform, teamwork-lite, fast and loose casual meta, but has issues with teamwork, role orientation and general integrity in the much more team-drive competitive scenario. I think it is best depending on what roles are filled, if you don’t have someone else for the job then jet pack Pyro can be good, just remember that if you die too much than it is either because of the enemy’s superiority or your desire for dopamine, so it’s best to balance your aggression with your support whenever either is necessary.

When I was first starting out on TF2, I got the funny Jetpack AND back burner (💡 moment) and I just started flinging myself behind the enemy lines and scorching them from behind, the map it worked most effectively on was megaton (you can jump over the side fence pretty easily) I am very fond of this play style, and I’m glad someone else out there loves it too.

From what I played of casual Pyro (being my main), they're put in offensive for a reason. They have great support options, yes. However, they are still very much built with offensive playstyles in their kit. Phlog being the prime example, but also weapons like: Dragon's Fury, Back Burner, Thermal Thruster, Axtinguisher, and Sharpened Volcano Fragment come to mind. With the shotguns and flare guns being somewhere in the middle. Pyro has support options and offensive options, ignoring one half of it just limits you and your team. It's really about balance. Kind of reminds me of Moira from Overwatch just flipped, at least the first one I didn't get to play the second one. Good support options and interesting offensive options. With Pyro it's good offensive options and interesting support options (Airblast, my beloved).
