To answer the mod question, Arma's launcher allows you to select which mods you have loaded, so mission makers will generally send out a preset of mods that you just import and load up to match the mission.

The wizards in this part of the Vietnam War terrify me in a comedic way. I don't want to mess with those wizards. And don't think this part of the war is peak Vietnam. Wait until you see the "truly catastrophic time". I witnessed it and so shall you... The Vietcong...are RELENTLESS.

I think the game Magica had a dlc where you played as wizards in Vietnam.

He did a crap ton of big cinematic work in his series, HAARP. He even had an intro using in game cinematics and a few other edits. HAARP had its own anime intro. The song he used in it even earned a permanent place in my KZbin music playlist. The series is long, so I can understand not reacting to it, but maybe just checking out the intro and ending scenes.

Just researched it, there’s a few videos that features only the cinematics. Edit: Found the cinematic only videos only cover chapter 1 and 2. Some of the best are not covered in it, such as the intro to the finale, and the ending of it. Along with a lot between in the finale.

The interesting thing is there are missions in Arma that just train you how to do stuff and one of them is training you exactly how to land a helicpoter with no tail rotor. You increase forward speed while you lower so that you aren't spinning, and then you stop your forward movement and try to drop yourself the last bit with little velocity, because if you have too much you crash anyway.

There is Arma Reforger, which is like Arma 3.5 On the official website it is advertised with the tagline "Road to Arma 4" Its smaller then main Arma games with less fist party content, and since its pretty new also not that many mods yet. Its uses their new-ish Enfusion engine, s Reforger is basicly an experimental step to develop and fix all the problems with it, then use these to develop Arma4 without all the hassle. So yes, Arma 4 is coming, but its far away. Reforger is here but still lacks content and fixes. It was the same with Arma 3 and 2. People ran 2 for sooo long just cause of certain mods and existing player base. Some still do.

another reason they released reforger so early was for the arma 3 mod devs to have ample time to try porting/remaking their mods over to the new engine ahead of time

As for creating a cinematic experience for an op, Rimmy did something along the lines of this with his Strike at Karkand video, ws well as the Back Again: 1975 series

Kip when you say you think explosive ordinance would be fun you mean as a demo and not an eod tech right? I ask bc I have multiple friends who were deployed in Afghanistan and I quoted from one of them "eod is the stupidest job in the military they won't do shit without confirmation there's a 100% chance they don't have to worry about the opposition and even then it takes them 30 mins to do what we could've done in 5 to 10 mins"

Reforger is the test bed for arma 4, it's basically arma 3.5. they are still working on arma 4 but released reforger to get community feedback and as a large scale test for the new tech.
