Sabine surviving a lightsaber through the gut will never not make me mad. Why did she get medical attention when Qui-Gon didn’t?
@isaackim76754 ай бұрын
Wasn’t Obi-Wan hanging on the edge of a massive hole while Maul thought he had the high ground?
@FrozenJedi384 ай бұрын
First of all, it was on her side, specifically where there are no vital organs. Secondly, Qui-Gon was stabbed quite literally in his heart/lungs area. And finally, she had immediate medical attention since Ahsoka was right there. While Obi-Wan was busy with Maul so there was literally no way to help Qui-Gon (even though he stabbed in his heart/lungs area, so there wasn't anything Obi-Wan could do anyway).

@@FrozenJedi38 A lightsaber blade is approximately 1 million (that is 1.000.000) degree celsius hot. It would melt her insides within nano seconds. That is no argument. For reference Leia shouldve froze to death within a fraction of a nanosecond when she was ejected into space. And space itself is around minus 270.00 degrees celsius. So if a master of the force can barely survive for 1 minute in that environment, which she magically shielded herself from. How do you expect a novice to shield her insides from 4x the extreme heat? If the Leia scene was a major rewriting of the properties of both the force and space itself. What the fuck was the scene from Ahsoka then? Dave Filoni unironically is a con that took credit for work his underlings did. He couldnt deliver an intricate story so he had to bend, add and remove rules in the universe to create artificial shock moments.

I also do agree with you that it’s too heavily relying on people, or even watching the previous series, and it definitely needs to at least have flashbacks to those moments of a series so newcomers can get information about those series and maybe get interested in checking them out to.

Hot take: Sabine's development wasn't undone. Sabine was going through the grief of losing her family on Mandalore to the Night of A Thousand Tears. Maybe a flashback or vision in season 2 can show us that and justify everything. Also, the end of Rebels kind of set up the idea of Sabine and Ahsoka searching for Ezra. It would make sense why the show begins this way.

I remember a lot saying this show was bad but honestly it's easily my FAVORITE of the Disney Plus shows. Didn't care for Andor to much, couldn't get into it, still well made. Ahsoka had everything i wanted in a Star Wars show. Adventure, stakes, new locations, good action(wasn't Prequel action but it was entertaining), killer soundtrack, and Baylan. Did that man say anything that was fundamental wrong. RIP Ray Stevenson. Seriously the soundtrack for this show is so good. My favorites being The Hyperspace Jump, Epilogue II, and The Main Theme. Unlike The Acyote, i actually got emotional at some seens. Specifically Ezra reuniting with Hera and Anakin's Force Ghost at the end of ep8. I'll take anything Dave Filoni makes compared to The Acyote. At the VERY LEAST, his is entertaining. Can't wait for season 2.

Although I agree with many points in the video, people also have to flow a little bit more. This show was a good start wars adventure story and it got room from improvement, sure, but that is why it is only the first season. Filoni has a track record where the first season isn’t the greatest but if you give him time, he ramps up the story to eleven. The same happened with Rebels, and clone wars. People need to suspend disbelief and just flow. The story was good enough, and characters were very complex for star wars standards (in a good way). Seeing ahsoka finally let go of her trauma over Anakin was peak, having had the choice to let into her anger, rejecting it. Baylan Skoll and Shin haiti are like a ying and yang of ambition. Loved the symbolism behind their names. Sabine’s actress was fine, she performed as the Sabine we know and was able to bring her to life. She’s now more rebellious than ever but it is because she’s acting out. SHE LOST HER ENTIRE FAMILY, Ezra might as well be the only thing she has to cling to her “happier past”. The fights scenes do seem clunky at times, they can improve them and seeing how they had no fear in more complex fights in Acolyte, i hope they can incorporate a more coordinated and martial arts style method of fight. Thrawn had a small role, and people say “he failed”, no, his plan was never to kill the protagonist, rather delay them. After all, Ahsoka is the apprentice of the Chosen One. Morgan Elsbeth was a great antagonist and a good “introduction” into nightsister magic (for people that didnt see Rebels or clone wars). Overall it was a good series with room for improvement, yet i still believe some of the critics towards this series are a little harsh, even unnecessary.

There's a little more of both good and bad stuff in there. The new aliens were entertaining, the actor hired as Baylan did an excellent job, and the bandits having perfectly matching costumes and no clear reason for being there or known method of getting there didn't make sense. We also had a second case of seemingly a hollow inquisitor like the deflating one Ahsoka killed early in the imperial era which is interesting, signs of Abeloth being planned for live-action appearance, and the acting for Sabine was just bad. For me the show seemed almost like a 50% split between parts I liked seeing and parts that annoyed me a bit. I don't really mind how Thrawn looks there because he's meant to be several year older than before. Didn't notice the Musk resemblance was so strong, but it's pretty funny now that I see the visual comparison.
