Man look… That was Mike in his prime. Many cried that day when he retired in October 93. I was one of them. Heard some kids back in the pre-East Bay/Internet days even needed counseling when he stepped away from the game. If you grew up to see him live in his prime, you were blessed. No player impacted the game and beyond the way Jordan did from 84-93. The NBA in 94 just wasn’t the same. Even the trash talk at school was different lol. Many were upset that NBA Jam featured Pippen and Grant lol.

I watched this one again! MJ kind of looks like a highschool kid playing against a bunch of 4th grades 🤣 Like Drexler said he was the pro's pro! I'd love to see MJ and Lebron go at it in there primes. No way to tell, but I don't think it would be all that close. Barkley said after those 93 finals, he did everything he could do to beat MJ & the Bulls, played his ass off, but not enough to beat MJ, It was at that time that Barkley had to admit to himself that MJ is the best. And a lot of the other greats, and average Joe's of that era all said the same thing at one time or another. Great stuff!

I actually got one clean dunk down with a regulation ball on a basket in the gym in my life, after a b ball practice one day in high school, I was lobbing the ball for myself, (missed on many attempts) but just one time it bounced just right for me, & I caught it with two hands just above the rim and slammed it down clean, and hung on the rim. Good times. And true story. I was lucky enough to attend 2 Michael Jordan basketball camps at Elmhurst College in Illinois, (probably 300 kids/camp Jr high age - senior highschool age kids) It was a normal basketball camp excep, this camp included one hour of instruction/demonstration in the morning from MJ himself. One autograph session, and one picture day with MJ and your team. The rest of the day you go with your team and a camp coach and work on drills, fundamentals, and scrimmages ect. Summer 91, just after the Bulls beat the Lakers and 2nd time, Summer of 93, (I was 16), just after they beat the Suns. MJ came every morning, did an hour demonstration about fundamentals, how to shoot freethrows more consistently, how to utilize the triple threat stance with the ball, how to protect the the ball from getting stolen, defensive funds etc. And Every day he would pick a few random kids from the group, to work on what he was showing us. All 300 kids raised there hand when he was picking someone. 1993, third day of the camp I raised my hand like everyone else & and he looked right at me & picked me to shoot freethrows. (I couldn't believe it) I was so nervous I'm sureI looked like a deer in the headlights, standing there, and in your mind is shell-shocked that's MJ talking to you. . Missed my first shot badly, he tossed it back and said take your time, go through your normal ritual and knock it down. So I took a deep breath and blocked him out, and nailed the second one. He tossed the ball back at me firmly and said nice now do that again, but this time he stood in the middle of the lane smiling at me. I wilted like a flower. Took my few dribbles and when I shot it he jumped up and smacked it down, said now let's work on defense he said are you gonna guard me or what? So I tried, he said don't stand back so far, come on guard me! So I kinda tried a little harder he went to his right, I shuffled my feet to my left, he shot a short jumper and missed. He grabbed his own miss said you gotta rebound that come on!! backed out top of the key he said now guard me come on!! He did one jab step, I backed up he took two hard dribble towards the basket and two hand slammed it. I thought and felt awsome. Then said alright, good job, who's next? The whole thing was probably 2 or 3 minutes. One of the ultimate highlights of my life. So yeah MJ actually dunked on me. So yeah, keep these videos coming I love it👍

@@essentialjordan23 91 camp, he was wearing the grey bourdoux, before anyone else had ever seen them. The ones he wore in the 92 all star game (magic johnsons last NBA game). You should have seen the cars he drove to the camp Porsche with license plate (jj mj 23) one day he showed up in a helicopter, And one day his wife Juanita was driving the car he got out of. On the last day of the 1993 camp they held a pick up game full court that we got to watch Stacy king and BJ Armstrong showed up. Watching him play pick up against college kids was the best thing in my life. He was screwing around the 1st half missed a lot of shots, missed a two handed dunk believe it or not. 2nd half he turned it on And did some phenomenal stuff watching this from the bleachers with the camp was amazing. One dunk over two 7 footers from halfway down the lane. A couple of his signature "Petrovich style" ridiculous reverse layups. And a couple of really long threes from downtown. There is still a clip of this on the Web I will send you if you wanna see it, let me know, I'd like to meet you someday cause you know we love the same thing,mj b ball and shoes 👞 👟 😊
