I bought chimes of freedom because come on a bunch of people covering Bob Dylan! The greatest songwriter ever! I was already a huge fan of TATE, and when I got to this one it got me really emotional. One of my favorite Dylan songs, by one of my favorite bands, and I ALWAYS tell people Mikel is the best songwriter since Dylan which from me is the highest compliment I can pay an artist. Love everything they do, MOST UNDERRATED BAND ON THE PLANET

I didn't get this song at first, but now I realize its a conversation between a guy and his one true love who is about to sail away across the ocean.

YEA and based on Dylan's BUEATIFUL girlfriend going 2 Italy. Bob once said "pain sure brings out the best in people" ...And who said only women bleed?..beautiful song from the master

One of those rare times when I like a cover as much or more than the original. You nailed it.

Well done them for spotting the inherent rythmic possibilities. The 'shadow' voice and fiddle add such a lot.

I love the build up, yet it still stays so smooth. Such a beast of a song for TATE to cover!

An astonishing interpretation; one of the three great interpretations on Chimes of Freedom (along with Ka'aan and Diana Krall.

what did you think of miley cyrus' - you're gonna leave me lonesome when you go? I don't like any of her other music, and didn't even know it was her when I first heard it, but I thought it was great.

What? There was so many!!!! Cage the elephant doing the lonesome death of Hattie Carol was epic! Ed Roland of collective soul doing shelter from the storm…I could go on, there were a ton of wonderful covers and interpretations of songs on that album

It might be penned for the travelling Suze Rotolo, Dylan's girlfriend at the time. Nic Jones does a great version of this. Though this takes some beating

Estava procurando essa música a tempos. E consegui achar , tinha essa música como toque. Como fui roubada perdi todas as músicas exclusive essa. Por incrível eu achei. Vou ouvir a semana inteira. Vou baixar ela agora mesmo
