Nearly £1300 for the brocock and it has a plastic cheekpeice if I were paying that I'd be expecting a full laminate stock Its a lovely looking rifle I think it would look a lot better without the plastic

"Affordable" This gun is awesome i went to find it and seen its price lol... Who is it affordable for? the the royal family?
@Peter_Riis_DK4 жыл бұрын
Perhaps he's a posh dude comparing it to the price of a Holland and Holland shotgun. 🤣
@theshootingshow4 жыл бұрын
@@Peter_Riis_DK I am certainly not posh or rich. My reference to the Brocock XR being affordable was in relation to the fact that its features and performance are in line with guns towards the top of the airgun market. I think it can hold its own against guns made by FX and Daystate and, by comparison, it is more affordable - the Compatto model is less than £800. Though I agree that it is certainly not cheap. All the best. Mat

Haha! Too funny. I'm hoping to try the new Venturi by Christmas, but the night vision or quality optics will come much later. Working for a living is no fun for sure. Just scratching together some coins to save for a luxury purchase is a test of will and patience.

can i ask what is the brightness of the light your useing as the one i use tends to scare the rats a little as it must be to bright
@laurenslecroy54074 жыл бұрын
At what distance do you apply your holdover? I'm impressed with your skills and knowledge.
@theshootingshow4 жыл бұрын
Hi Laurens. It depends on range, scope height and pellet weight. The best way to find out is by shooting groups at paper over various ranges. Generally, if I am ratting a close range and zero at 13m, shots closer than that need holdover as the pellet is still low (having left the barrel below the line of sight) and anything further needs under (having risen above that initial zero) until it drops back down to zero and then lower and lower until it tumbles to the ground. I hope that makes sense. All the best. Mat
@laurenslecroy54074 жыл бұрын
@@theshootingshow Hey Mat; Thanks for the reply. What do you consider the farthest kill range for your rifle/pellet/tuning? At present, my rig is a Benjamin Marauder and a simple Burris 3X9X50 scope. On a good day, I can make a slightly ragged, pencil eraser sized, hole at 30m. Am I reaching too far? Laurens

Thanks Adrian. I have SportsMatch Extra high in at present. That because I was using it on another gun for a while and needed the extra height to keep the rangefinder clear of the barrel.
