I just stumbled on your channel, but everything you said in this video is true. When starting out its easy to buy a lot of gear/download a lot of sample packs and then be overwhelmed at the end. I think the best thing to do is to do research and get an instrument that is substantial for you and just keep using it. Buying more gear when you don't exactly know what you are doing is a recipe for frustration, keep it simple and build from there!

This is great information. After using Maschine and VST's for seven years, I wanted a new approach to making music. To be inspired again. I like the 2000XL but dated technology and buying used is a gamble. As far as brand new gear, I had my eyes on the X, but the price was too high. So when I heard about the Isla Instruments S2400 it caught my eye. I've been following the whole process and I think it's going to be a killer unit. So I bought one. Yes I have to wait but I don't mind. Now the Live 2 is out and I'll probably get one down the line, but first I want to buy a budget "all around module" for bass/synths sounds to get my teeth back into external gear. Keep up the good work bro. DJ Promo, Puerto Rico.
