Okay so on account of the 4.0 changes I gave it a few wipes. Through this I learned the following about this design: 1) Large furnaces are very essential to this build. I would rush these and the compound as quickly as you can. If you are building this design as a trio or quad it will take quite a bit of farming to get up in time to be aptly protected from griefing (which is a concern with this base) People take notice of the design and seek to end it before it becomes too unmanageable. On 3 separate wipes this became an issue as different groups targeted us with TCs. 2) The missing roof bunker isn't a game changer necessarily and the design still stands up to a large amount of rockets. We were able to defend an online raid in our early on stages and that was all due to the second level of the base. It gave us a height advantage against raiders and for this I highly recommend rushing to two levels as quickly as you can and at the very least slapping some honeycomb on the portion of your base containing Tc and loot room. 3) With the addition of the triangle ladder hatch this base has immense possibility, especially with the recently found changes to roof stacking. Excited for what's to come

Now this is a great base. Strong for online raids, quite ok for offline raids too. I have seen some good multi-tc designs and I even made a few myself, but it always comes to one thing- you have to have so many materials ready when you start building, which is hard on official vanilla servers , especially for small groups. It is also hard to claim the flat spot for yourself, triangles Can be easily raided and taken from you and stronger builds are then in the way if you wanna start building in those spots. Making this base out of a simple/honeycombed 2x2 is one of the most useful things on a populated server Ive ever seen and I will definitely try it out.
@EvilWurst4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, I think many people who watch YT videos focus too much on stats like raid cost and completely underestimate the importance of how viable this base is to build during an actual wipe! Thanks for recognising that!
@Tondo543214 жыл бұрын
@@EvilWurst you are right. After you reach a certain strength of a base , most people can't raid you(at least online). Those groups that CAN dont really care that much if it's 40 or 50 rockets, stronger base can buy you a bit of time but every base will get raided anyway. People only look at how many rockets it is, but there are other important factors too- for offline raids it is mostly external TCs, traps and turrets AND splitting loot into more rooms/bases. defense against online raids would be peakdowns, flank bases, towers, shooting floors, also turrets, beds that dont share cooldowns etc, lockers... I have never made a KZbin base in 3+k hours of Rust, I only learn concepts from great builders like you and then I try to implement them in my designs. But I will build this one next wipe I think because of that 2x2 Core and how easily you can expand it. For example my last multitc design consists of 4 connected bases and a big tower in the middle, it has hqm suicide bunker in tower, 5 tcs and about 60 rooms with 60 boxes to split the loot. But the problem is as I mentioned before (I play vanilla official only, 1-3 ppl max in my group) to secure whole flat Area and defend it, or to get enough materials to build it(you need so many gears quickly etc). That means I Can only build the base in second half of monthly wipe when it cools down a bit. That's why this base from you is much more useful in an actual wipe than many people might think. Too many times Ive Seen people build Huge KZbin bases from scratch and cry when they got killed 5 times with full inventories of mats while building, only to finally finish the build and get raided just after they went to sleep ;D. With your base you can stay in low profile honeycombed 2x2 , which is kinda secure and doesnt cause too much attention, while strong enough to secure the flat spot until youre ready to expand. I believe people should learn some of the concepts from you and other good builders and then try to implement them. You cant always build Huge clan base from scratch in 20 minutes without getting interrupted etc. Sometimes you have to adapt to terrain, blueprints you have etc. Thanks again for this design, one of my favourite Rust youtubers ;)

I don’t play Rust. But I just like to watch you build things… maybe I should play this game.

The name, intro, explanation. usage, utility, creativity, and truth that one spawns in a friends base which is 90% of the time a 2x2. All inside a 2x2. Evil for years now you keep surprising me.

Are the out-lying walls built in the same pattern if you extend to a 3x3? Our group uses a 3x3 and we would love to try this out.

Ive been working on a 2x3 multi-tc floorplan thats been giving me fits. Thank you for this!

Awesome! I think a 2x3 might offer an even better value-for-the-buck rate, since you get a lot more storage
@swilks85474 жыл бұрын
@@EvilWurst I agree. Its a nice gap between the 2x2 and 3x3. I play weeklies with a 4-5 man and the 3x3 becomes too much work when we're trying to focus on pvp. 2x2 not enough storage for later on in the wipe. Can't wait to put this to use!
