The Alan Y. Chow Telescope

The Alan Y. Chow Telescope was dedicated July 27, 2013 at McDonald Observatory's Frank N. Bash Visitors Center. Donated by Dr. Chow, the 1-meter telescope is used during public star parties and other public programs. This video describes the journey this telescope took from Dr. Chow on its way to McDonald, and the modifications made to it by the Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Network Group to automate it.
