I saw the live premiere of Jennifer in the Pryzm at Kingston the night before the album dropped, and it’s now my favourite from the album. The bit before the final chorus where the vocals cut out makes my autistic soul want to stim so much and it makes me incredibly joyous and aaaaaaaaaaaa I love it! Everything Everything are so incredible live - Jon’s vocals just keep on improving as the years go by!

Computers cannot create...yet. They can only be programmed. The art is the code and the choices a person tells the computer to do with the code. If a computer could create, then it could genuinely be able to randomize things. They cannot.

Tbf by that notion a human brain can also not be truly random. And all action is caused by a burst of energy caused billions of years ago. It's not about being truly random but rather be so complex it can do unpredictable things. All creation is in essence a collection of pre existing things. There is no reason an ai cannot do this.

I only learned this album was partly AI generated by a review. I listened to it prior, and Dhark Tank was the only track I could tell. Because although AI generated art and music are obviously different from person made, AI generated text can be a LOT harder. I think the album is really good regardless because AI generation still needs a person to put something into it. And I could tell the songs were still composed by a person because there is context and heart, which an AI can't replicate. Nerd speech over. Fav. tracks are Teletype and Bad Friday.

Everything Everything is such a good band but they border on that Imagine Dragons Target Music esque sound, like they tiptoe on the line so well between progressive and alternative music and generic pop rock like Imagine Dragons.
