Music has a way of making us feel. Like truly _feel_ yaknow? It can make us scared. Happy. Sad. It can heal us..or _hurt_ us. But im glad that you're in a better place! Situations like these are very difficult to get away from, but you did it. You might not feel like it, but you've won. You got away. And you will be happier in the days following.

I'm so glad you've managed to make it out of such a relationship, I know exactly how it feels to go through all of those tactics. The constant loss of sleep I got just in fear that if I weren't there for her, she'd hurt herself. Yet somehow it'd be my fault if she did. I had to give my everything to her, and there were no exceptions. I couldn't have any time for myself. The worst part is I had just turned 11 at the time, and she was 17. I can't even remember how many times I'd get back home from going to the store with my dad, just to see 40+ messages from her, or other people she sent to get my attention. She did every tactic you mentioned on me, I've also since made it out of that relationship. I am 16 now and have managed to get mostly healthy people around me now. I didn't really mean to toss so much of myself in here, I just wanted to say thank you for this video, it's made me feel a bit more seen. I hope you can continue to heal, and I truly hope the best for you.

thank you for making this, i don't mean to vent here but i was in an abusive relationship as well, and the abuse tactics were scarily similar. i never knew that what you talk about here is a common thing with abusers, the only reason i got out was because i pushed back against some of her tactics which led to her flipping the situation on me and saying i was abusive. she'd already convinced me i was beforehand but the shock of the callout snapped me out of it, though a lot of friends who i really loved left me in the process. i dont think ive ever felt seen like this, so thank you. its helping ease that remaining trauma and guilt. i hope you're well and i'm happy you're out. its really, really not easy to escape on your own, so you've done amazing.
