Alexander was not a believer of ONE God, i.e. Tawḥid, meaning "unification or oneness of God". We have historical writings where Darrius praises God and thanks Him for the power he had on this earth. This is a monotheistic quality unlike Alexander. Cyrus saved n helped the Jews and is known for being the first to start some type of Human rights whilst Darius actually travelled with his army himself as much as he could on earth just as Dhul Qarnayn is depicted to have done so in The Quran. Regardless this is all speculation and it doesn't matter, Dhul Qarnayn could be so far back in time it's before recorded history.

If the wall was constructed near the Caspian sea, the Scythians could be Gog and Magog as they were warriors. The two mountains could be Mt. Kazbek and Mt. Elbrus or Mt. Kazbek and Mt. Shanti because there is a path between the mountains leading from Georgia to Russia called крестовый перевал. You can see on Google maps driving between Gudauri to Vladikavkaz. Edit: having read a bit more, Alexander did defeat the Scythians or Sakas in the battle of Jaxartes, after which he released the prisoners of war and they never attacked his empire again. Moreover, there are two mountain passes associated with Alexander, Derbent and Dariel, and a wall built from red brick called the wall of Gorgan near Caspian sea and is called the red snake, and apparently it runs close to Elbrus Mt. as well which is in the Caucasus mountain range. The other Mountain range that could be referred to in the texts is the Turkestan range as it close to the location of the battle of Jaxartes in Khujand which is in a valley.

Effigies of Gog and Magog can be found today at the Guildhall, in London, England. Atleast one of the statues was moved to the US (not sure if it's a replica or original). Gog and Magog, the two giants, "protectors of the City of London" is the official designation given by the Guildhall. They are the progenitor and founders of England and Ireland, mentioned numerous times in folklore of the English, Irish and nearby groups (you can read the folklore online, I can't type it all here). Their legends say about Gog & Magog: ▪︎1. they are descendants of Scythians who travelled by boat from Greece through the Mediterranean to Britain; ▪︎2. they are offspring of an exiled princess of Greece who also came by the same route as 1. ▪︎3. they are offspring of Alba, an evil daughter of the Roman Caesar Diocletian who exiled her to Britian. City of London btw is a special enclave within London, UK. Unlike the rest of London, it has it's own laws and mayors elected internally from within the Guilds. It's more commonly referred to as the Financial District. I searched a lot about this group for a couple years but the information is quite obscure. Some sources say Gog and Magog are the corruption of _goth and magoth_ (no idea what magoth is). The Gog and Magog effigies from the Guildhall are paraded annually at the Lord Mayor's Show, a tradition going back to the 13th century.

This has made me have an epiphany about my own race the Moari. We have some odd bloodlines and blonde haired blue eyed tribes. They're DNA links them to Persia and Egypt. Couple missed facts and insights that might blow your mind: Firstly, most scholars agree that the iron gates were actually built by King Cyrus the great AKA King of Kings, King of East & West, King of both/TWO ends AKA "THE TWO HORNED ONE" from the holy Quran, and coincidentally also mentioned by name in the Bible. Alexander inherited the title "the great" from Cyrus after conquering the Sassanid empire (decendents of Cyrus) which he did in only 12 years before dying. According to the Chronicles of Ergenkon, these people were locked behind iron mountains for hundreds if years. The word Turkey is actually means iron Smiths. In the legend, these nomads who were pagans were never able to cross the gate until the day they said "God willing" realizing the oneness of God/Tengri and learned the art of iron melting to pierce the iron/bronze mountain/gate. Very well made documentary video. If you could research more in European folkloric heritage, you gonna find more and more valuable details. For example those Hungarian poets and academics whom not been disorientated and silenced by the cultural-Marxism, claims that, Huns origins or descended from Gog and Magog! It seems to me there was a collective or global oblivion back in time, caused by religious movements, like ancient library demolition and similar things. So, we lost lots of important details, therefore difficult to connect the dots. However hermetically closed or self-segregated nations, countries preserved a lot by mythical legends, written chronicles or artifacts. Very informative, my first time hearing the theory of Alexander the Great being dhul qurnain. From my understanding dhul qurnain is not Alexander but Cyrus the great. The barrier is also to be believed that it is in the area of Caucus mountains near the caspian sea in the country of Georgia. It is called the Darial pass.
