Be careful, Aliem aggresive actions are initiated by your aggro level and by the number of mission control you re using (not the total number you have - depending on the difficulty level you chose - at least in previous version don t know with latest patch) :Aliens don t like seeing a growing space power ... For fleets, i like a mix of ships : some heavy missiles to sature enemy defense and some with heavy 'artillery' (prefer plasma to laser) - both with defense point turrets..

I agree, the Perun guy did a video "Terra Invicta Guide - Alien threat level (and how to avoid total war)" explains". It's old, and maybe the exact numbers aren't correct, but the principles how "threat" works still stand I am pretty sure of.

Spending several episodes ruminating, whittling down Alien aggro, slowly but surely building his tech levels. Last 15 minutes of the playthrough - back for more aggro. Between this and Planet Crafter Quilllovers are just absolutely spoiled for choice 😁

I agree, General Quill had a choice of winning a battle or keeping to the best plan for winning the war. He picked the first alternative.

If you real the warnings on decommisoning modules, you might notice that it also costs boost. So it is Munch better to replace it with whatever else you’d like to have in that spot.

Honestly it's unfair of Quill to be so mad at the game on the hab decomission. It's not the dev's fault Quill was not paying attention and reading suggestions from twitch chat at that moment. With that said, I have been loving this series, Quill is really good at making games without a lot of action enterteining the whole time. But now that the action started it's even better! Let's go humans, kick those aliens outta here!

You should really build space defences. It would protect you from minor incursion everywhere and help in the whack a mole. Even one PiP should have some effect with very minor disturbance in your budget.

what happens if you do a coup d'etat? Do the old regime alliances stay intact? As in 180 days of waiting . . .

There is no waiting 180 days. If you plan to grab Kazakhstan at the start of the game a succesful coup is very nice as you can break out of the Eurasian thingy at once and get all Boost for yourself.

Coup d'etat has a few effects: - All the control points get reshuffled. Usually the faction that does the coup wins most, but other factions might win a couple points, too, or points become neutral. - the affected nation leaves its federation, if there is any. Alliances are unaffected, including the one with the federation 'parent'. - The faction that wins the executive immediately becomes consolidated (=taken by force), meaning no 180d cooldown. - there might be impacts on the economy and society within the nation, and in case there is an independence movement entire regions might have a chance to break off, although I am not too sure about this

Nah, colonizing an uninhabited territory is not a form of conquest, it's a form of expansion. Colonization is a vague term plagued with negative connotations. With how it's used, it could mean anything from direct conquest, natural assimilation, claiming unclaimed land, and etc etc all the while only focusing certain parts of the world at certain time periods despite the fact that humans have been "colonizing" since the beginning. Well regardless of any of that, the reason why someone wouldn't assume a colony ship to be classified as a warship is because colony ships are rather specialized and it's weird to imagining them being equipped for war, as their very nature would make them inefficient in battle in almost every metric. A military support ship, sure, but not a warship.
