I’ve never understood why some shooters look down on or talk smack about people shooting clays with semiautomatics…almost every company makes semiautomatics in Sporting models, explain that! I love my Beretta shotguns! I own 5… 686 Silver Pigeon Sporting 1 in 12, A400 Xtreme and Xcel Blue receiver in 12 and the A400 Xplor in 20 and 28! Thank you for the content and keep up the good work!

I would ask for a follow up video for the A400. Could you do something the best ways to manipulate the gun. How to clean it after a shoot since Joe mentioned how important that is.

Great video. Really enjoyed hearing from the Pro Shooters and Rich Cole. These people know what they're talking about. Thank you!

32:45 in my opinion they forget the best point about the new kick-off system, because it is located in front of the cheek weld, when you shoot your head position is less to be disturbed.

Definitely a great point!

Now here you have a Great Group of of ladies and gentlemen at the round table I enjoyed this tutorial , talking about getting to the point covering this gun. I own this 2022 A400 with Cole's gun parts it's a great gun
@claylabusa2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. My A400 (shown in the video clips) is from Cole’s and has one of their laminate stocks. I really like the enhanced palm swell and overall feel of it. The felt recoil compared to the older XCELs is noticeably lower, in my opinion…even without a kickoff on there
@DFox-ud3gx2 жыл бұрын
@@claylabusa , I ve got the Cole's bolt closer button on and replace the silly cone on the bolt with Cole's and I put a kickezz 1" 1/8 pad grind to fit next will be the trigger job from Cole's also. The 2022 is a fine gun. Maybe this summer I'll get new wood from Cole's you can't beat Cole's fine Guns for sure

@@claylabusa Do you shoot he Cole A400 as your main sporting gun?
@RhymeNologist2 жыл бұрын
@@BeatRock253 I actually shoot a Krieghoff K80 Parcours as my main gun. I use the A400 as a travel gun / back-up gun. That being said, the A400 is ABSOLUTELY worthy of being somebody’s main gun. All you have to do is look at how many great shooters are using one!
@BeatRock2532 жыл бұрын
@@RhymeNologist I'm considering selling my 694 and buying a Cole Pro. My 32" adjustable weighs near 9 lbs and I've noticed left arm muscle fatigue while shooting. I shoot gun down so have extra lift during the mount. Think the A400 would be a good solution

I bought an A400 Upland in 20 gauge, 28" barrel recently and I just love it. I shoot sporting clays and skeet with it and it is terrific ! I want another and am considering a 28 gauge. Any thoughts on the 28?

I enjoyed the video. I just wish KZbin video channels would work harder on the audio end of their videos. Many channels, I have trouble hearing what is being said . Television and the movie industry figured all this out eons ago. I'm not a sound engineer, but I'm willing to bet there are plenty of them out there that could help you improve the audio so all who are speaking on the videos are easily heard. No matter what position in the room they are stationed.

Some do, some have a Custom Greenwood stock. Major point being at their level, a fitted gun is important even on a $2k tool.

At least with the 390 and 391, I think you overstate the diffficulty of cleaning.

What is the best case for this gun? Would prefer to have one where you can keep the bolt handle in versus taking out each time. Couldn’t find much on Beretta’s site. I’ve looked at the Negrini universal case but the direction of the gun would put the bolt handle down so you would have to take out each time.
@claylabusa2 жыл бұрын
Hey, I actually use that universal Negrini case. You correctly pointed out that it leaves the bolt handle pointed down. If I’m flying, I take the handle out. If not, I personally leave it in and it isn’t a big prblem

@claylabusa2 жыл бұрын
Hi Emiliano, Joe uses Pure Gold Titanium Series chokes. He says he almost always uses a “20” constriction, which is a modified choke. Thanks for watching!

Great guns , except the chrome plating ,on what I believe is called the cam , the little cylinder which is locked in place by the firing pin , comes off and when I talk to the New Zealand agent about it they just say " Turn it around" and the recoil pads , which work very well ,are fragile and pieces chip off if they are put in a standing rack with a rough surface , or placed on the wooden floor of a duck blind

a fantastic video What do you think is the difference compared to the black edition?
@claylabusa2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! This would be very similar to the A400 XCEL black edition, in terms of the large controls. The new A400 has more of a cutout for the loading port and different placement of the kickoff system (closer to the grip, allowing you to easily adjust LOP without removing the whole system). Hard to go wrong with either!

who made the stock on the gun closest to Joe?
@claylabusa2 жыл бұрын
Hi, that’s Desi’s gun! It was made by Rich Cole and has a weight in the grip cap. Jim Greenwood also made a few small tweaks to the stock. So basically, made or worked on by the two best stock makers in the business 😎

There’s a few things that make this gun different than the new a300 ultima like a different bolt and wood finish, but are they worth 2x the money? My 13 yr old has run 4000 rounds through his a300 without an issue. I love the look of the a400 but I’m just not feeling like the money justifies it. Also, I know the a400 has a different kickoff system. I realized that by removing the a300 ultima crappy kickoff system it made a shorter LOP and a great youth shotgun.
@claylabusa2 жыл бұрын
No denying that the A300 is an excellent gun, as well. I would agree that most differences are going to be subtle. It’s a refinement of a winning gun design, rather than a total redesign. I agree with you that adjustment of the kick-off is a great fix. Finally easy to swap out recoil pads to adjust that LOP!

Hahaha. I think a lot of it is just the picking up shells thing. I love an auto, but its always there.... im littering, oh.. my shells, i have to pick them up. Its always on my mind when i shoot one. What they need to do. Is invent a 2 shell , shell catcher. That works. And you dont have shells flying around.
