I was watching this and couldn’t believe it happened literary 300 yards/ 900 metres from the finish. There is a great video of the police stopping Makkinen driving to service and Makkinen pleading with him. The rules were actually changed after this to stop anyone continuing in an unroadworthy car, as on the continent he would have been given a police escort to get to service which meant it was not fair at some rallies to be out and others to able to get to service. It wouldn’t have and didn’t change the result of the championship here but had Sainz finished it would have.

Gigi Galli was unhinged. Meanwhike, Tanak seemed remarkably composed, not "mad" at all, just devastated, but composed. And drivers getting pissed at co-drivers for an eventual mistake, misteading a note, would be like co-drivers getting pissed at drivers for making a mistake and crashing, right? Same thing, isn't it? Someone making a mistake that interferes in the normal outcome of a race. Problem is, drivers feel they are "more important" than co-drivers, and they have an ego to tame. Loeb, who was always kind, and understanding with Elena, never lost his temper with him whenever he misread pace notes. Then again Loeb is a true gentleman.

Those are also the moments fans want to see, they show that these extraordinary drivers also have a character. Just dont give them penalties for stuff like that.

I know it's not supposed to be funny, but for some reason, the 0:47 head smack made me laugh xD And whoever that codriver was continued on his job with just a barely annoyed reaction, absolute boss, if that was me I dunno how I could've kept my cool LOL ^^

el conductor que golpeo a su copiloto no merece ningún respeto, nada justifica que golpees a tu compañero, es de ser mala persona , mal piloto y mal amigo, un acto muy feo

As a sim racer, i know how easy it is to lose your cool when racing. And it gets worse when you start racing angry, as you make more mistakes it just restarts the cycle. Good on them for not throwing their car over the nearest cliff out of pure rage i guess. Edit: Read the replies to my comment before contributing. And im sorry for offending the people that dont think i know that rally racing is more intense.

I get frustrated whenever I make a mistake in Dirt Rally 2 or WRCG. The good thing is that you can restart. I can't imagine putting myself in these situations
