Before my dad passed away we were having a drink over at his house with my uncles. I'll never forget it. He said son, "This song is the best way that I know to explain how great life is and also how life really is. " Cheers :)

Serejavo from Mogadishu, from Ethiopia to Kosova _Herzegovina, they died 25 clicks s.e.of Muslim town outside of Serejavo,!!!!!!!CIA let him go if he stopped, no charges of war crimes would be filed against him and his ethnically cleanseing soldiers, burn in hell

When you can't find the light, That got you through the cloudy days, When the stars ain't shinin' bright, You feel like you've lost you're way, When those candle lights of home, Burn so very far away, Well you got to let your soul shine, Just like my daddy used to say. He used to say soulshine, It's better than sunshine, It's better than moonshine, Damn sure better than rain. Hey now people don't mind, We all get this way sometime, Got to let your soul shine, shine till the break of day. I grew up thinkin' that I had it made, Gonna make it on my own. Life can take the strongest man, Make him feel so alone. Now and then I feel a cold wind, Blowin' through my achin' bones, I think back to what my daddy said, He said "Boy, in the darkness before the dawn:" Let your soul shine, It's better than sunshine, It's better than moonshine, Damn sure better than rain. Yeah now people don't mind, We all get this way sometimes, Gotta let your soul shine, shine till the break of day. Sometimes a man can feel this emptiness, Like a woman has robbed him of his very soul. A woman too, God knows, she can feel like this. And when your world seems cold, you got to let your spirit take control. Let your soul shine, It's better than sunshine, It's better than moonshine, Damn sure better than rain. Lord now people don't mind, We all get this way sometimes, Gotta let your soul shine, shine till the break of day. Oh, it's better than sunshine, It's better than moonshine, Damn sure better than rain. Yeah now people don't mind, We all get this way sometimes, Gotta let your soul shine, shine till the break of day. Songwriters: WARREN HAYNES

Soulshine's probably the best song that the modern line-up of the Allman Brothers Band have ever recorded, and it actually hold's up with their catalog of classic's from the late 60's and early 70's when Duane and Berry were still alive, and Dickey was still with the band!! JMO.

Been a long time since Greg Allman's voice has sounded this strong. I heard him say in a television interview that for years, he always did a double shot of brandy just prior to walking out on stage. But he said that he had quit doing that for sometime now. And that stopping the brandy had made his voice much stronger again. And Warren Haynes, it goes without saying, is a truly gifted singer and picker!!

My dad took his final breath during the final solo he was found collapsed without a heart beat and was resuscitated and put on life support and he would play this when I was down and out and it made me feel so much better and I'm so glad I set his soul free to this song love you Dad I'll miss you!

Don't get much better than this group. Have seen the Allman Brothers a dozen times dating back to 1976. Awesome.
