IMO they were the best live band to ever take the stage. In all of their various lineups. Thanks for watching.

@@steve-boston I recall my buddy & me taking my little sister (14, I think?)...we were 19, to Cobo Hall in Detroit, Nov. 5 1973. Now Cobo wasn't known for great acoustics, but wow.... they were so damn good... loud...clean... best sounding concert I ever heard. ... and in an unfavorable sound environment to boot! The crowd was amazingly well behaved, everybody in their seats. I think the ABB attracted a more higher intelligent thinking crowd than most rock bands back then. I had forgot how much I loved this band, until the recent passing of Dickey....always one of my favs.

The original lineup was iconic but I always liked this lineup. Warren and Woody👍

Couldn’t agree more. I also think the lineup after Berry passed with Chuck and Lamar was fantastic. Under great pressure too, “replacing” those 2 was impossible but they were great. Too bad it all imploded, but that 1973 tour was some of their best music.

I went to this concert. At first I was disappointed that the ticket didn’t include admission to the new museum, but I went back years later to check it out. Was a crazy good night with these guys and everyone else who played. Chuck Berry opened the show, Johnny Cash sang Fulsome Prison, Fogerty, Burden, Iggy Pop, Dr John, Aretha, Stax house band up there all night… Still have my poster.

Saw them in concert at Starwood Amphitheater in Nashville I think in 1991. I was talking to this chica who got us tickets, and the band started with Statesboro Blues. That bass and the double drums with Butch and Jaimoe almost knocked me off my feet. And of course, Dickey was the best, what a talent, RIP my man.
