Current production (first 1000 going to the preorders) is already gen 2, which fixes these issues, and implements a lot of other features and minor improvements, anywhere and everywhere I could. I’m sorry they are expensive, we try and price it as reasonable as possible, but for USA precision machined products in 7075 T6 and S7, it’s real pricey to make. We are working on forgings and extrusions to bring down the cost so we can drop the price. First goal is to make the best PDW, second goal is to make it as affordable as possible. Agreed on the recoil - it’s incredibly hard to describe. It’s incredibly violent and yet is incredibly easy to control. Jolting but you can stack shots very quickly and easily. We do have various accessories coming that will make it less violent, such as soft rubber buttpads, hydraulic recoil spring assemblies, and custom balanced slide/recoil spring combos.

The stock angle reminds me of the classic AKM. That one, and literal millions of untrained shades-of-brown peasants shooting it all over the globe, ruined the system's reputation for accuracy for generations to come. It's still a good solution for the issues of a stock'd pistol, and 9*19 recoil isn't strong enough to make it a problem in itself.

That's precisely why they're such a good idea. They are inferior to "real" rifles *only* at ranges where you could never possibly legally defend a shot. They are inferior to pistols at concealability, but for many purposes (home defense, uniformed police and military) concealability is irrelevant.

I’ve had mine going on 6 months now with about 750 rounds thru it. I honestly don’t feel the recoil at all. I am 6 ‘1 245 but my wife has shot it and she hasn’t complained about any uncomfortable amount of recoil. I run underwood and Liberty civil defense which are 2 of the most ballistically powerful 9mm rounds you can get and it still feels like it has less recoil than shooting without the brace. Just recently added the 6 inch barrel and definitely added about 200 fps in velocity with my Liberty when chronographed(2050 fps with 3.1 inch and 2275 with 6 inch )

Here in Nevada, our CCW permits allow only for "a handgun" to be concealed. It's not ideal, but the holstered Flux makes for less threatening open carry.

I think it’s really cool. When I was traveling a lot going from jobsite to jobsite I think a little PDW like this would’ve been great. I carried my P365X, G17, and a 442 with me when I was working to cover most of my bases. If I had a little PDW like the TP9 or one of these it could’ve replaced my G17. I like the 365, as a FCU, better than the 320. I think it is safer than the 320. I think there is a market for a dedicated PDW frame or firearm that is Glock compatible. Something with the form factor of the flux, but Glock or even zev oz9 compatible.

I love the P365, it’s very shootable for its size, extremely reliable, and hyper customizable with great features out of the factory. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend it to people. The finish is just not there. My slide is basically worn to being silver and the rust creeps in constantly even with regular maintenance, to the point where my controls will sometimes actually freeze up.

This is one of the only things I haven't been able to get behind man. Now I haven't shot one so I wouldn't say I'm against them. But I feel that a stock and a little grip is not going to make you a better shooter. I think for pistol as well, the limitations of range and what the caliber can do is still there. And if you train enough with your pistol you should be able to push it to its limit in a normal configuration. Still a really cool concept tho, I think it has alot of potential, would love to eventually shoot one. By the way facts of the brass. Love your videos and channel. You slaying queen.

Coming from a fellow leftie, my main concern about the Flux was 100% the stock folding direction. I know it's not likely to see something come from them for a left folding version but one can pray. I waited for a left handed Flux Heavy the entire run they did those and that never saw the light of day.

Brass Facts you're a PDW guy. You should check out the MPA Defender it's a MAC clone. The MPA 30SST model can accept stocks / braces, red dots, supressors, and takes a 30rd mag. Plus the gun is $500.

Yep! I share a lot of the same sentiments with mine. I got in the first batch and got a pistol brace version. I am regretting that decision already and am waiting for them to start selling the stock standalone so I can get the form 1 process rolling. As of this week they just started showing off their V2 version that has a internal rubber bumper and a set screw to lock the brace release forward. Kind of annoyed that they released a V2 so quickly but I still love mine. I have been using a Bobro RMR mount because the Holosun EPS was just too low for my tastes.

i think these systems are great, although having a fixed barrel version would be the next best thing to aid in suppressor usage and it wil be a stable mounting platform for optics. but nothing like this exists.... yet. I think a good place to start is the beretta system. its no chasis system but its one of the better suppressor hosts and they are reliable platforms with cheap surplus mags available. I know the barrel is not fixed but unless you want something like a double stack 9mm makarov style pistol that doesnt exist commercially the beretta m9 series seems like the way to go for a better pdw in the flux style

@@roflchopter11 As much as i love the px4 the rotating barrel does not allow for suppressors in the traditional threading sense. something like the AAC m9 qd style might work for a rotary barrel but even so it would not even be compatible with the hub type suppressors since those are threaded, it would need to be its own thing.

The beretta is great but its no chasis system but has strength in mag availability and suppression. other less known FCU pistols are the beretta APX and the new hk cc9 but those all use tilting barrels like everything else on the market. Honestly the smallest fixed barrel on the market that has the capability of being a great pdw is the mac 11 uppers but if it had a more modern lower like what the 3d printing community are producing with glock mags and ar triggers and braces seems like the way, but the equipment and durability is something to consider. sigh....

Another thing to consider: what about .380? Before you string me up though, consider this. It's a little anemic, so you need good shot placement. This will help your shot tempo and placement so you can min-max it. Comfortable, rapid follow up shots, all placed with more ease, at the cost of some ft/lbs. Might even help with suppressor use but I'm not knowledgeable enough for that to be a reasonable claim.

Have you explored the One-Shot stabilizer? And they are UT too. Would say it is NOT a PDW unless you really trained with it (a lot), however, your pistol has rifle capabilities for just $80 and handles likely better than the flux overall once on shoulder. Great tool to learn just how accurate your gun is, including irons, as well as make a pistol with dot practically a “sniper rifle.” Would love to see your take on it - and would be great if they would increase the angle on the One-Shot to raise the sights like Flux did on the 365. 6:37 Your barrel failure isn't because of the can- the barrel is particularly weak. I bought the same model barrel: Griffin Armament ATM, and I experienced the same wear at the point which the slide was supposed to ride over the chamber. It has caused the only malfunctions my 365 has experienced in roughly 3k rounds. Called Griffin customer service and left a voicemail- no response. The metal is too weak, the finish is subpar, or there is some other serious design flaw.

we tried to brand of barrels, sig brand included. that barrel probably sucks, but it seems to do it to all barrels.

What about the 365 Fuse Slide w/ threaded barrel and suppressor with booster. I think that would make an incredible combo. Maybe not for holster but for small sling.

Very cool but I could never justify the price as is. Glad the owner touched on this in instead of dancing around it and/or dismissing the commentary as 'poors'. Though I'm still leaning towards the original as a stationary dot is (imo) one of the greatest features of a PDW. Hope they make a Glock version again.

Love your videos, for pure entertainment and love for pdw’s you should try the masterpiece arms defender for a “TP9 at home build”. Super cheap but I know you will make the most of its “potential”
