1. There was not even a real alt season in the bull market yet. 2. We are just over the halving (bullish market comes after months mostly) 3. If you tell people to sell their alt they will be in much higher loss than waiting for the momentum when they have higher gains than btc (alt season) 4. We didn't have a bull market yet, this is an early bull market because of BTC ETFs. I don't know why people has so low belief in BTC and Alts in this season but it might because we don't have the right economic situation yet. Lets see the market in few months and we will see. I think we will have even bigger bull market than before as Etf, instituational investors and also halving, USA voting, FED interest decrease etc etc will bring very high interest to the market.

Do you know what's most annoying? If this plays out exactly like Ben has foretold for over a year now, you'd expect a lot of the critics out there to eat humble pie. However, I've noticed most of those people usually sit on the fence or at least throw in a load of disclaimers. Then subtly adjust their positions as the writing on the wall becomes evident, never holding their hand up on bad calls and making out like they called it all along because of aforementioned disclaimers. Either that or they misinterpret what he says, thinking he missed the bottom or is saying there are no gains to be made in alts (he never said there wasn't potential for short-term gains in some alts if thats your game and you're disciplined). Ben becomes a target because he is very clear on his views, sticks to them until he has evidence to suggest otherwise; and then clearly says when he gets it wrong. A lot of this has already panned out as he said, if this last leg follows through, it is a god tier call from way out in advance. Its just a pity all he has copped is abuse, and usually from people who have got it wrong on far more occasions, but they keep their head below the parapet. You're a legend sir 🙌🏼

And to be fair, since the lows from last year, BTC *has* outperformed a great majority of the alts. So it's not like one would have missed that much just from holding BTC

I think a lot of people, like myself, are buying the alts not because we think it's season, but because we aren't as experienced. This is the biggest exchange of wealth ever. I'm not gonna miss it bc the market is or is not suppose to do something.

Hi Ben. I'm a fan of yours and been following for 3 years. I'd like to clarify this one. Regarding the "power" of bitcoin, the amount *this coin* 1 BTC can buy 29:03 30:13 You're right that most people don't care about that. But why is that power not that important? Basically it's the magnitude of increase in BTC price. It can easily increase $5k-$10k, compared to how much the altcoins increase in price. That's why it "looks" powerful. The amount of "X coin" 1 BTC can buy doesn't matter. What we focus more on is the percentage of increase. BTC doesn't offer that much. Decent altcoins offer enormously more upside than BTC (which is obvious but this has to be mentioned), it outweighs the risk. Take a random period (say the halving, but this is period-agnostic, you can also choose the cycle lows, the halving is not important here I just wanted to select it) 2020 halving to 2024 halving returns ADA: 12x MATIC: 50-60x BTC: just 6-7x

I like that Ben can be so straight-forward and also not take it all too seriously. No hype and "WArNing!!!" videos. I remember being an avid watcher a couple years ago participating in "building a house" out of the charts in livestreams. Watching the chart pop out of chimneys and go through garage doors built an hour prior and everyone would cheer in chat lol. Just having fun being completely realistic about the crypto market. Always the calm, collected, real, and informed voice over the years and hasn't changed!

Hi Ben, BTC dominance currently show bearsih divergence on Weekly RSI chart. Weekly RSI usually is quite good at predicting turning point. Dont you think 57 and 60 is not that far away, maybe 57 is the turning point instead?

Ben, no offense with my counter arguments here. Unlike the past Bitcoin cycles, it is evident that Bitcoin surpassed the all time high even before the halving occured or in other words, this bitcoin cycle is slightly different as compared to the past. I'm just wondering why would you still strongly believe that alts will not rally before the QE occurs? Anyway, I'm always waiting for your "bitcoin dominance videos" in disguise like this Ben. I think people use the argument that some alts still outperform Bitcoin. Those Alts have what people call Pumpamentals which means they are new and shiny, essentially that they have a presence over on Crypto X. You can make money on these, meme's too, but it wont last.

Thank you Ben, this might be simple for market vets. Newbies might have an idea of buying BTC and trading into alts around altcoin season. This video really highlights that impact and the price delta with time. Instead of just buying and holding alts. However, we need to also account for capital gains and exchange fees when selling and trading into BTC then into alts then selling. It's way more complicated than just price movements.

tbf i think Most of the talk concerns ALT USDT pairs which of course is predicated on BTCUSD going up less given the different MCs. Noone can claim that swapping BTC for ALTS has been good for some time

I appreciate your TA & insights. I sold some of my BTC at $70K to move into Alts, thinking it would spur a rally due to the ETF approval. I did the normal stuff: Staked, LPs, burned some for DeFi airdrops qualifications. I was lucky enough to make some great yields on Osmosis, etc. but after some meta-level news cycles + this TA, I moved most of them back into BTC. I fear your prediction of a (possibly) major downturn for Alts is starting to play out as of this week.

Altcoin reckoning will stop few months after the first rate cut. "My guess" is we will see bitcoin skyrocket, followed by the alts a month or two later. BTC Dominance will begin to drop significantly EOY and into 2025.

I can see that the alt coin value compared to BTC will drop dramatically as BTC skyrockets. This doesn't mean the alt coins are going to plummet in USD value, it just means that BTC is jumping in value as alt coins stay muted which would certainly explain your chart. Alt coins day will come when BTC sells off. Will alt coins drop in some value as the alts are liquidated to buy into BTC, of course that can happen.

what you dont realise is that his whole thesis is based on the fact that when alts capitulate to btc, btc loses a leg of liquidity to sustain bullish high levels in crisis moments and it is a precursor to btc taking a tumble in a larger way. Thats my understanding of the position being espoused, please someone correct me if im wrong

Here is my issue. Buy(DCA) 500 dollars worth of Bitcoin. Bitcoin goes up 10 percent, I sell for 10percent gains and after coinbase takes the (buy/sell)fees plus other add on to price, I end up with about 490 dollars in the end. I rather just take 500 and buy altcoin cause I'm happy with my Fiat pair....
