Maybe the reasons he doesn't talk much with her but appears sad instead, might be because Gummigoo remembers when Pomni promised him a place in the Circus, but he was quickly exiled (and also because of the existencial crisis he got in episode 2).

It's not so much about that, he doesn't actually seem to react as if he were with someone "strange", like, "this girl is weird, crazy", no, he seems to just accept her "weirdness", as if he knows her, and he doesn't really question her knowing his name, and at this point he just tries to reach out and looks sad, he may not remember everything, but he must remember something, or at least feel like he remembers, he feels familiar with it.

1:20 Intresting how Gumigoo reaches for her here. I haven’t watched the series but I can tell these two had a very strong connection with each other. I know that he was killed at one point, but maybe, just maybe, when Pomni speaks here, Gummigoo has that spark of realization that he MIGHT just know her from somewhere. 1:37 when pomni reaches again to gumigoo, he moves his eyes in a way of saying "sorry pomni, i need to go", im pretty sure he didnt lost his memories with her, but after he exploded... something happened off camera, wich made gumigoo not want to get off character in any way, thats why he still acts friendly to pomni, (remember hes actually a bandit, one of the "bad guys") so... again... im sure he didnt forget anything, hes just acting to not get exploded again... or maybe not exactly because of the explosion I am the only one who saw it?
