I think the reason JT Music is my favourite nerdcore music channel is because they always do research on what their singing about. I like how the idea here is that Jax and Pomni are both going insane, but in different ways. They're also coping in different ways. Pomni is struggling to come to terms with the loss of her identity, and copes through the belief in an Exit. Jax is struggling to come to terms with his imprisonment, and copes by taking it out on others through dark humor. It kinda lines up with my theory that Jax is a hacker who got caught and locked in the program he cracked. It certainly explains how he has keys to everyone's rooms.

This song is so freaking amazing from start to finish. Even the title is perfect "I think therefore I am" for anyone who doesn't know one of the inspirations for the amazing digital circus is a dystopian short story called "I have no mouth and I must scream" in which an evil AI god thing named AM tortures five humans who are the last humans alive. In the book AM says "COGITO ERGO SUM" I think therefore I am. Which is a really cool call back. Another line I noticed was "you won't have a mouth, but oh how loud you'll cry" which again is probably another call back to "I have no mouth and I must scream" 11 out of 10 song by JT Music and definitely one of my favorites.

I like how caine is portrayed in this song. Every time you see him he doesnt seem to be looking st you until you see his eyes always staring right into yours. It really does let you know what he is. A ringleader who never stops watching. All thus while every line he appears in seems to reference him somehow. With the first line he shows up in is "the ringleader in tow, the ring is where you stand" amd in the second one is "cuz any voice in your head aint sound of mind" refering to how caine dissmisses the exits as hallucinations and that you shouldnt believe your own mind with the exit.

Ive always loved the original song and how it neatly traces the story of TADC. It was a great combination of Jax’s taunting personality, Pomnis internal freak out, and an existential crisis that has probably happened to every circus denizen at some point. But now the video adds on by showing us some of Caines creepy, all seeing nature, slips of Jax’s personality behind the smiles, Pomnis decision to hide it all, and so on. The best part though has to be the end. Never before has a music video ending given me chills like these. Pomni is absorbed by the abstraction, and we see her on the screen of the monitor in the real world. Then, the monitor crashes, and it says it it is safe to turn off the computer. The ambiguous nature of the circus and its location within the computer has made it a nerve-racking mystery, and the connotations of it being safe to turn off has some pretty unsettling implications. All in All, this is one of the best TADC songs on the platform, and one of JT Music and Andrea Storm Kadens best performances. Coda was just the cherry on top of it all. 👏

It’s also because I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is one of the inspirations for Digital Circus, so adding this phase makes sense plus it fits with the recent rise in popularity for the story (which I believe is because the game recently came out on stream but I could be wrong)

I like how Jax is portrayed in this! Although he's an ass 99% of the time he's stuck in the Digital Circus too, trapped and unable to remember who he is, just like the others. I think him being a jerk and prankster is his way of coping, as mean as it is. I feel like people often forget that he's going through stuff like the others, the stuff being the Digital Circus. He ain't an angel, nowhere near it, but he needs help like the others.

this song has definitely some of if not THE best lyrics for a tadc song. its still about the exit and pomni going insane and yaddayadda but it does it in such a creative and well-researched way that isnt just "ooohh im gonna abstract!! ooh please im going insane i need to get out of here!!!". thats why i love jt music. great stuff!! :3
