I really love this video. I feel so excited about breeding my 2 pastel orange dreams to each other (unrelated). The 20 snakes I have and 1 more coming in, I have so many pairing in mind and I have even offered my fire banana as a stud for a couple of friends also breeding. With any of my mature males I want to be able to help others with their breeding projects as well. I don't even know what others do, but I just want to help if I can.

Hi chris. Like your videos very much. You give a lot of information on mixing Gene's. Just wanted to know when you show them if you could show the prices? You show the prices sometimes. Keep up with the videos bro.
@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures
@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures 4 жыл бұрын
The problem is that prices can quickly become outdated. A scaleless head five years ago was selling for $45,000, now they are just a few hundred bucks LOL
@jamesferreira1557
@jamesferreira1557 4 жыл бұрын
I know prices change. I just thought you could show what they sold for. I know a snake sold 5 years ago isn't gonna sell for the same price today. But if a snake was sold 2 or even 3 years ago. Will probably be selling for the same price. How did your egg bound female do? Did she pass the egg?

yeah I this one seems odd to me. I saw what looked like 1 inch long ultra fine hairs in his water bowl when he pooped in it just before eating his last meal. have you heard of any parasites that look like that in snakes? it seemed to only be wide enough to have coloration

For great Bamboos you should really start with a real high contrast Bamboo as a parent, same with Pastels, probably not as important with Spiders.

What I've heard is that spider doesn't always have any signs when they are hatchlings but the wobble can show up in later age so you're always gambling to buy spider :( PS: Calico SOD and PinSOD were my favourites on those :)

Hey man I had my second clutch of ball python eggs ever very early this morning. I got 5 big great looking eggs and then one egg that had.a little infertile boob spot but it had veins and a embryo so I think it’ll be fine. So I ended up with 6 total for my second clutch I Also had 6 for my first clutch 5 days before so I have 12 eggs cooking in the incubator with 2 more expected to lay as early as next week so I’m just happy as all get out I mean gosh dang if it don’t just tickle my pickle

We had a very mild winter here in VA and I was thinking that had a lot to do with my snakes laying so late but I’m a novice breeder I really have no clue. Do your snakes typically lay at the same time every year? It seems to me that maybe they would lay a little later each year just to get on the extra growth and weight needed again I’m new to this and have no idea but it kind of makes sense to me the snake knows when she’s physically and biologically ready to reproduce,ovulate,and lay you can have her on a certain schedule and try anticipating it all out but yeah she’s going to start building when weighing enough pairing the snakes up can kickstart follicle growth I’m rambling in circles here basically you can make this schedule have this timeline laid out do everything according to the plan but she’s going to go when she’s good and ready you obviously use the breeding timeline as reference to just have an idea of kind of where you’re at you can buy an ultrasound to track the growth there’s nothing you can really do to make that female go she goes when she’s ready it’s honestly such a beautiful amazing thing I’ve got my first 2 clutches ever candled and in the incubator at 89.6 even tho I still have 2 months of incubating and a ton of things that could happen I’ve never felt such a sense of accomplishment as I did when I slid those tubs open I can’t even wrap my head around egg cutting that’s to far away anyways for now just focus on making sure they’re incubating fine

I don’t know how you feel about it, but I’d like to see the price of more of these snakes. It’s very interesting to see how some of these morphs cost. Like a Spotnose leopard clown cost over $2500 and a GHI Mojave Ghost is only $600. Aren’t both snakes a one recessive and two co-dominant gene animal? And all genes are old news. Nothing new. I find that interesting.

Sometimes it depends on the potential and popularity of the genes, Justin Kobylka works a lot with Clowns and posts a lot of videos on some really cool combos showing the potential of the gene which drives up demand and prices. Bamboos have gone up in price too since I started making videos with Bobby LOL. In fact I've seen a lot of comment lately to where people can't even get a single gene Bamboo anymore, they have all been snatched up.
