Cute couple, nice island escape. I like all the sounds you’ve got from that place! It’s so so cool. Isn’t it amazing what microphones can do nowadays!?!

Hey Gudman... love the pants too with the knee pad, I am sure it is much more comfortable on the rocks with these. Where did you get them?
@harrywhite8012 жыл бұрын
Love all of your videos. Wondering what brand your pants are, i've been looking for a pair with built in knee pads. it would make it so much easier on my old knees when kneeling down to get the low perspective shots. keep up the awesome work.
@GudmannAndGyda2 жыл бұрын
I knew it! This is going to turn into a fashion brand ;-) I got these in a local craftsman store in Iceland. The one I own is: sindri.is/bl%C3%A5kl%C3%A4der-vinnubuxur-4-way-stretch-bla-198916449900c50 The brand is BLÅKLÄDER 4-Way Stretch. My favorite pants when out in the field. Wish I had started to use them long time ago. The knee-pads are sold separately, but they are standard size and fit all pant-models. If you search for Blaklader work pants on Amazon, you will find some models, but I am not sure if exactly the model I am using is found there. I am sure they can be found somewhere, just make sure to buy the "4-way stretch" model.

Love the video. Fabulous to see all the northern birds on the cliffs. Such an interesting little white bird at the 9.00 minute mark. Could you be so kind as to educate us - what bird is that :) Regards, Richard
@GudmannAndGyda2 жыл бұрын
Thank you RJ. The bird at the 9 minute mark is Snow Bunting (Plectrophenax nivalis). Cute birds and very relaxed in Grimsey.

So do you prefer shotgun or stereo mic for capturing bird sounds?
@GudmannAndGyda Жыл бұрын
In general, for birds, the shotgun microphones are the way to go. For environment audio, stereo is great.
