...well... the line wasn't clear, but, yes, the premise is that nobody can get a good picture of Spider-man. Peter Parker is the only one who gets close-ups, focused or frame shots. In some of the pictures, its obvious that Spider-man is posing and knows his picture is being taken, because he of course is taking pictures of himself and making the pictures as good as possible to get top dollar. If a masked vigilante only let's one person get good, personal, upclose pictures of them, then it would be assumed that there is trust. The line was poorly written and wasn't cinematically made clear, but that is pretty much how it is in the comics, is it not? Peter claims he is good friends with Spider-man, simply because he is the only one who gets good photos of him.
@KrillintheVillain4 жыл бұрын
@Asher Copaken plus the photos were far away enough that anyone could've taken them. In the original Spiderman trilogy, it looked very obvious the only someone like peter could've taken those photos, here they didn't do a good job of that

@@chrisbreton1181 not really IMO. 1)There are several non hip-hop producers that are better than Preemo and RZA, such as (on the top of my head) Albini, Berry Gordy, Quincy Jones, Arca, Butch Vig, and Rick Rubin. 2)Preemo and RZA sample so they should be ranked lower than other electronic/instrument based producers. Not that it is a sin or anything, its just that the quality of sample-based music is mostly dependent on the taste or "ear" of the creator, not skill (especially now). Both Preemo's and RZA's beats worsened drastically when they stopped sampling in the 00's. 3)Preemo and RZA aren't even the best at sampling. The Bomb Squad, DJ Paul/Juicy J, Zach Hill, Dalek, Dr. Dre, Questlove, early Kanye, and Timbaland (when he samples he's third best at it, although he is the 2nd best hip-hop/R&B producer of all time) are people I'd rank higher in terms of sampling skill and longevity.

If TASM2 had put the Harry Osborne and Rhino villain plot lines on the backburner for another film and had developed Electro better, Electro would have worked. He could have worked with Peter's father in the past and been obsessed with continuing Peter's fathers work, but using it to modify eels into sources of organic electric power. Let the movie spend a few scenes showing his character's meaningless, nondescript existence and obsession with becoming a famous hero like Spidey. Set design a room full of articles on Spidey. Then have Electro gain his powers and wreak havoc after Spidey helps capture him.

Emma J. ASM2 was the closest to the comics from the 3 that I read, and Garfield was amazing... people think hes the best spiderman, and Tobey is the best Peter parker, but I think they are all good... but prefer Garfield cause he shows the most intelligence with his science stuff and innovations... I liked the part when spidey loses his suit from stark in homecoming, cause that creates challenge, that suit is legit op and it ruins my experience... ASM2 felt like a true spiderman movie, but it's still an awful movie because of the rhino and goblin, but everything else was beautifully made.... 9.8... asm2 made me mad, and happy, idk... the gwen and harry scenes (besides his goblin parts) just made the movie sooooo good...

Kevin Luper Ok you caught me, that comment that I made last year was a bit of exaggeration. My new favorite spider-man film is the Spider verse film. Though if you wanted my real favorite Spider-Man film of all time when it comes to live action, it's really Spider-Man 2. Though I still think TASM 2 offends me as a spider-man fan.

Doesn't this scene serve as the at-home side of the conflict inherent in the movie's premise? Because Peter's hiding the fact that he has to wash the Spider-Man costume since he's keeping it secret that he's Spider-Man? Isn't that what this scene is doing from a narrative standpoint?

Just rewatched the Sam Raimi spiderman movies and although they are somewhat corny they are still charming and overall good movies. I realized that many later superhero movies especially in the DC and these ones are plagued by two things: -Lack of a filmmaker with a vision -Studio interference The reason Tarantino is good is that he has great talent, but also that he only makes exactly whatever he wants to make with complete freedom which makes it interesting.

Period films set before the 1950's (because Back to the Future was set in 1955 and most of the things in that era were still around at the time of it's release. Things like Pepsi, Texaco, Western Union, and Miller beer). But by and large movies set before modern times have no product placement: Titanic, Saving Private Ryan, and any western.
